Noice😊 Alicia you are wonderful! Try the elastic arms forward release. Sometimes i breathe out if holding on in a thinking pattern that is fearful; brace brace..arghh...so release out breathe in a "go with" feeling that unblocks the "hold on" response. Rode so many patterns to slow down. Important to reward the moment the horse relaxes into a better balance. Also trained the relaxation response in hand or on the longe. Instanty reward the moment of relaxation and rebalance. 😊 breathe out with small goals and wins. Also check tack, body of horse and rider for tightness. or pain. Ride safe xox

That works at slower speeds. The problem I'm having is. When at wide open it's almost impossible to slow him. Without getting all in his mouth. Any tips

Great question! Remember that horses always behave like this for a reason so perhaps he is still strong because he needs more balance or perhaps he is strong because he is hurried in his tempo. Ask yourself why he is strong and remember he is doing what is easy, our job as riders is to make the correct work easy for him, so make it easy for him to take smaller steps or balance and he will do it for you!!!

I personally ride a LOT of lazy horses and it’s always a little trippy switching to a more forward horse! As of right now I’m taking a corse the matches me to a horse and safe to say she is very forward for me and I have trouble halting or slowing this video really helped me to understand how I can work with my horse in a better and more comfortable way for the both of us!🤩❤
