In answer to the title question...proper training. You can't train them with a shout and expect them to listen to a whisper.

Okay I'm gonna be weird and say neither but but I'm closest to canter because I love the feeling in the transition to and from canter to trott it's like I'm floating and in control so no unexpected feeling or bumby ride ❤️🔥 the best I have ever felt, the pony wait on me and we float in harmony honestly the best feeling 😻💗

That is the way I ride my motorcycle. I allow the bike to move under myself while I try to keep an upright position.

My trainer wants me in long stirrups to develop my seat, saying when I come out of the saddle (bounce, I’m a beginner) it’s because stirrups too short giving too much bum clearance

@N12S10SАй бұрын
I have an issue with corners, either I don't get into the corner because I don't support enought on the outside or I support and we fall inn into the corner and when we are done with the corner we lose connection and almost crash into the walll 😅

My young horse (4) is struggling with canter (right hand), even during the longe work. He doesn't want to canter or he canters on the wrong foot. Starting on a circle with a counter bend help him, at least to do 2 strides... 😅

I am more of a gifted horse rider were i get it first try but you must train I have been doing core for 1-3 years so it’s easy for me to canter I would recommend letting the horse saddle bounce you up while in your 2 point make sure to grip on well and just go with the horse Im talking about galloping btw
@NadyaPena-01Ай бұрын
Haha, it's so funny because I came back to this video 2 years later and had the same question I asked 2 years earlier. How do people sit the trot and canter without stirrups? I see riders do this bareback and what you're saying here is that stirrups are necessary. However how are those other folks doing it then? I've asked and they say it's thighs. I sounds simple but I haven't yet mastered this.

she abu$es horses, excessive whipping, spurring, letting a horse thats had a month of canter for 20 minutes without a break. even though the horse is clearly in distress en strung out, sweating, bucking, kicking out. Injuring himself and breaking the arena wall doing that. Dont support this shit

Amazing! I wish I could go riding with you. I’ve watched so many videos that miss really important stuff. You don’t miss a thing. This video has got me passionate about horse riding again, after a break of 4 years. ❤❤
@johnrichards50532 ай бұрын
I’ve defo found myself oscillating between the ‘superman’ position and a foot forward during a canter. Good to know how to correct that and it isn’t that you shouldn’t give up riding. The idea of practicing balance and standing up during a walk or trot is brilliant. I can’t wait to saddle up again. Many thanks 🙏 ❤🎉y
@johnrichards50532 ай бұрын
Again, the comment that some horses will revert to a trot if you’re out of the seat during a canter is spot on. That happened to me so many times with different horses. It’s just great to know that I wasn’t a complete disaster 😊

Hi Emily! We would love to help you more with this. It would be good to see a video so we can see exactly what is happening in the canter. If you email us at [email protected] and refer to this comment we can arrange for you to attend one of our video review sessions we hold with our members x
