quick answer is the main difference is with DRPs you'll still get taxed as if you got the dividend income, and BOP you don't.

Sorry this is all wrong! When you are starting out you shouldn't be chasing Dividend stocks, you should be chasing growth stock. Dividends stocks are people that already have a healthy nest eggs.
