How does a $60 Amazon IR (VotatuM9L-IR) light and laser unit compare to Holosun LS321and 2IKS+Klesh?

Quick overview and nighttime footage of a Light and Laser unit from Votatu
Needs some upates to the design.
1. offset pic rail mount, instead of Mlok
2. proper cr123 batteries
3. Different light design to have more throw and less spill
4. Ditch the strobe function for a low/high power option
5. Better zero adjustment with some kind of detent or locking mechanism.

I've had the Votatu M4L-IR for at least a year mounted on a 16" 308 AR. It's still zeroed after 800 rounds. The laser is much stronger than everyone else's peq boxes. For an illuminator I use a Streamlight rail mount with IR filter cap.

Neat! Glad to hear it's held up for you! So far mines held up on a 5.56 rifle only put a couple hundred rounds. After that will be a basic drop and bump test. If it survives that it'll go on my Aero ar10 to see how it holds up there, but so far pretty promising!

@@yeredfarias7662 any of the Streamlight rail mount series lights including the TLR series pistol lights fit the filter. Got on Amazon or Midway for the filter. It's not hard to find.

69118 is the ir filter cap. It reduces the throw, but for the money, it can't be beat, I run it alongside a le117 green ir laser. Plenty enough out to where my night vision goes. Can't go wrong with a streamlight

Just ordered this on Amazon for 74.99 +4.97 tax so $80.00 i hope this holds a decent zero im lock tighting the adjustment screws. Cant wait to pair this with my budget NVG10 set up.

@@CheckSix honestly i lock tighted it on the rifle and haven't even zeroed it yet but i have tested the night vision option and i does work but i havent fired 1 shot using my nvg set up.

I got one of these laser,seems pretty sturdy.ran 100 rounds of 223 with no shift in laser.Not very Brite out pass 50 yard but for the price I'll take it once the battery drops out I plan on taking it apart to see what makes it tick

I have some P4L-R lasers and they can work out to 50 yards on an overcast day, where your target is in indirect light. At night the range is 70 to 100 yards. The green and blue lasers run time is 2 Hours. The Red and IR lasers run time is 8 HOURS! Per the spec sheet. IIRC there are screws on the bottom plate. Maybe a worn-out battery can be replaced. It might take years before it does. Not like a phone that needs charging daily.

Looks to me that the cheap one is very useful if it will hold zero.

I ordered the volotau that is in more of Holosun form factor. 89 bucks amazon. White light, visible laser, and ir in one unit. I use the Streamlight VIR with a white phos pvs14. No issues with it. It is handy on short guns with limited rail space. For 90 bucks I took a chance. I would imagine there is an 18650 inside that light. Hop could screw up a bowling ball in a sand box. Just saying😂

I personally dont think active aiming would generally be a good idea if im ever up against guys with NVG's. That said, if im varmint hunting, or up against a force without nightvision capability... if this holds zero, sounds great for the price.

I just got one from a local return auction website for next to nothing and can’t tell if the battery has already bit the dust or if the first charge is just extra hefty lol, if it is toast I plan on opening it up and replacing the battery if anyone’s done anything similar !

I dont rmember if these work while plugged in,if so if the battery ever bites the dust you could run a cable from a backup,in worst case scenario. I have the green laser on a radical 762 ar.
