How Does a Water Softener Work?

Copper, lead, HAAS, TTHM, arsenic, barium, chromium, fluoride, nitrate, selenium, xylenes, combined radium 226/228, gross alpha excluding radon and uranium, uranium and chlorine. I read my water report and this is what my water contains, my question is do I really need a water softener or can I get away with purchasing a whole house water filter with a reverse osmosis system under the sink?

Yes, you can! The UV purification system should be installed after the water softener and closest to your home's point-of-entry to ensure the water is thoroughly disinfected.

I have noticed that my ice tast salty ,not the cubed ice but my craft ice on my lg and suggestions I've talked to a plumber and the water softener is fine ... he claims
