He does still use Jazz III’s he actually just came out with a new pick tin with just those in them. I actually had the same pick tin you were taking about and used them as well but I preferred green Tortex then I switched and now I use 1.14 Whitefangs, have for the duration of their run.

Jazz 3 XL are a game changer, I've been playing metal for 20 years and about 5 years ago I discovered these and its never been the same after, I HIGHLY suggest anyone trying them

@@jantzencase7524 I recommend the ultex jazz 3 xl…the ultex material has a good sound ands it’s easy to hold on to for chunky rhythm stuff…I use the green tortex xl jazz and the ultex Jazz 3 xl

I played with a regular pick for 25 years. 6 months ago I switched to Jazz III, and I only wish I had switched 2 decades ago. So much better control, pinch harmonics are so much easier, string skipping is easier. The only thing that is a little more difficult is sweep arpeggios, but thats just because I have terrible technique, soon, using the jazz III picks will force me to fix that.

I use either White Fangs or Rabea's Flows, both very similar picks. Jazz 3 tend to sound darker and more basy, which might be a good thing, but they are way to small to feel comfortable in my hands anyway.

I use them. I struggled at first with them. I kept going back to other picks but I stuck with them and now I just use them.

I played normal Dunlop Tortex for years. Loved the sound. Discovered this Jazz III picks and got comfortable with it, but not with the sound. Luckily they have the Jazz III with Tortex material 🙏🏼

I literally can't use ANY guitar pick outside of the Fender 355's....the ones that look like a big triangle. Not the rounded ones, the ones that literally look like a Dorito's chip. lol

Good video! I can only play using the Dava picks for some reason, the only pick I've ever used! no idea how Kirk plays with these tiny ones, the position of them gets messed up in your hand too even if you do manage to keep hold of it

I've used the green Tortex for 15+ years, they seem like the same size (length and width) as the Jazz III except for the rounder shape of the top rather than the more triangular shape of the Tortex. But i thought the cutout on the KH was to improve grip?

Awesome hoodie, does it have back print? I'm still wearing my flaming skull shirt from yesterday. I bought the same mummy tin & could not use the tiny jazz 3. I use petruccis black jazz 3. James' wear down just by looking at it, that's why he tosses them after 1 song.

I’ve switched from yellow tortex to green to purple to gator grip to jazz 3 back to purple to max grip 1.mm back to green tortex to ultex jazz xl….ive always felt uncomfortable with the jazz sized picks way to small for rhythm playing

Oh, and uhh. By the way, Matt. Thanks for your opinions on the Ernie Ball Flex Cable haha! I recently bought one and love it. I noticed a small difference in my sound as well since using it, because I used to use cheap ass cables that didn't really give me that tasty heavy sound I've been searching for 😂😂🤟🏾
