Oh wow! The 911 service is invaluable! I started learning Spanish after my friend had a grand mal sizure while we were housesitting for our Mexican friends in Cabo. Our friend called the taxi so we didn't know how to direct the ambulance. When I called 911 I asked for an interpreter but there wasn't one. Luckily our taxi driver pulled up while I was on the phone and I dragged him inside , pointed at my friend and shoved the phone in his hand. When I started learning Spanish, '"Necesito ayuda. Necesito una ambulancia rápido" were the first phases I learned..lol.

I bought the Guide over a year ago. The lifetime access is huge. My travel/relocation plans keep getting pushed back, but having access keeps the dream alive and the Guide continues to get better. Mariana is a gem and the Guide is an investment.

In addition to the guide, if you choose, I recommend hiring a person to help you with getting your temporary or permanant resident card. They know little things that are important and always changing. For example. I just converted my one year card to the three year. For that appointment she helped me hire someone to stand in line at immigration overnight. She also paid the fee at the bank so I could bring the receipt to immigration. She let me know that you can pay the fee onsite now, using a card but their credit card machine is not always working. No receipt/no appointment. It is info like this that is so important and will vary from city to city. If the relocation guide has good people to connect with then that is a good start. My attorney in Mérida has a person in his office, who I hired, that does this (they also helped me get an RFC number appointment). Defiantly worth the extra money as time was a factor for me. Hope this helps someone out there.

Thanks for sharing! There are so many “little things” in Mexico that only someone who is familiar with the process would know - like the credit card machine being flaky. If you value your time - then hiring an expert is well worth it! Btw Amy - I owe you an email! I’ll get on that.

Thanks, BW. Great video, big fan of you both. I bought the guide last fall and I've used it a LOT. I hired a company from Mariana's guide out of Queretaro to help me get my TR visa. They get you an actual appointment at a consulate near by, fill out the visa form, check over all your documents before you go to the consulate, and when you're in Mexico, they do all the work to get you your canje, too. Half paid up front, the other half paid once it's all complete. And I'll even get a scouting trip in Queretaro done, also. You get your own personal consultant basically at the ready for any questions or anything you need. Mine is amazing, thorough, competent, very professional and kind...such a great investment in my future moving back to Mexico!! 😊

Hi guys. Would it be possible as an alternative, to hire a "human Relocation Guide" for those folks who don't have the patience to plug through the documentary Guide?!
@AlmostRetiredinMexico
@AlmostRetiredinMexico Жыл бұрын
Yes. Part of the issue is finding a good person to help you! And the guide lists trustworthy people. But you can also check out Ivonne at hostrelocation.com.mx. I did a video with her and she’s more hands on, but doesn’t cover as many cities.

That is what the Mexico Relocation Guide gives access to vetted immigration facilitators, guides, housing tours, etc. Think of it as the Yellow Pages for Mexico but with each and every listing supported by wonderful first-hand experiences. The MRG takes no money or sponsorship from any person or entity that they recommend. They are supported by the one-time/lifelong membership fees. 🇲🇽👏
@KiKiQuiQuiKiKi
@KiKiQuiQuiKiKi Жыл бұрын
I will say this, the Mexico Relocation Guide KZbin channel and enewsletter is very upfront-doesn’t play games. There is another company that likes to taunt, tease and present outrageous, rare opportunities (house sit for millionaires, etc) . Also, MRGuide is not expensive and is a pay-once deal that is continuously updated.

Have watched many of your videos and valuable information u provide. Still wondering about my temp residency. Have been told I can still get residency using my tourist visa and making visa runs. Dont meet financial requirements. So have been told to make 3 runs and then apply for residency?? Also Iam 72 and coming alone,heard the older one was the lower the financial requirements maybe. My income 2,400 a month is enough to have nice life for one person What should I do ?? Go to consulate or just use tourist visa ???

I do not doubt her guide is most important. But I wonder if the price justifies the contents. If I were to move there I would research the areas, weed out the best and betters then hire someone to help me through the steps. ( A real human not just a paper or electronic guide) I'd likely ask someone like yourself or backtrack through some of your videos and finally speak with someone like Gordon as well. Just say n. Tankx again Mr. B P n D

That’s kinda how we did it. But everyone I’ve talked to who bought it said it was well worth the price. Everyone had their way - this is probably for people who want answers fast and reliable, versus wanting to work to get it right.

If not for her guide i would have had greater difficulty getting my temp residency and navigating the unforseen and unecpected roadblocks that pop up. Can you do this yourself? Of course you can but the time, mistakes, and not knowing what you dont know will easily cost you more than the guide. Not only in cash but ( to me worse- time). What is most valuable to you? You can walk, or you can ride.
@davebaker489

@@StinkySobaccos My point is there are other services offered , by other people (local people) who are real, live humans that will take us gringo's and "enlighten" us. My only beef is the cost. Sure it may save time. The guide may save money. I have to believe IF the guide cost less many , many more people would buy it. Myself included.

@@davebaker489 No doubt there are live humans willing to enlighten you. Your task is to find them. One thing you have yet to learn about Mexican culture is that they wish to please and are will attempt to provide you with an answer to your question even if they don't know the answer, even if it is wrong. Saying "no" is something they will try to avoid. So while you have an answer, you have no idea if it is accurate. That wastes time an effort and delays you reaching whatever your goal is. If you prefer to hope for the best (you'll have to anyway) then you must be prepared for disappointments. Some of us prefer fewer of them. The great thing in this life is that you have control over your time until it runs out. I wish you well in your journey.

Know the rent will go up every month , now that the dollar is falling in Mexico. I do keep 6 months of preps, and 6 months of rent in pesos with a friend, when my USA debit card will not work in the ATM. Always use a bank that refunds ATM fees.I have been visiting Mexico since age 20 and I am 80 now, living in Queretaro since 2021.

Hi, I've been looking at various online resources, including places that charge, like this guide. I definitely want to pull the trigger and buy this one, but I'm wondering if there is a coupon code I can use? I think in the video you mentioned that you have an affiliate relationship with them, so does that come with some kind of discount for your viewers? Thank you!

I don't have a discount code to offer. However, last year Mariana had a $100 off discount for Black Friday. So if you can hold off a couple months, I'm guessing she'll do it again in November. Make sure you get on her email list - she sends out info on discounts there.

I wouldn't pay for advice on subjects that the info is already available for free. Any country has immigration info and there are also local sources the closer you get to the town your interested in. Just watch for out of date info if your reading material printed more than a couple months ago. Truth is a fast moving target...hard to hit
