As a writer you do not downplay your work or contribution to projects. I’ve helped people get deals & financing with my input. I will always be proud of it. He unfortunately was being used because he downplayed his contributions (not wanting to be considered a writer) while contradicting himself by name dropping the projects he worked on. Opportunists will always see that inconsistency as weakness. And he didn’t sign contracts first? Bad move if you wanna be paid. Also, not everything is for public consumption. Be careful what you say bc ppl love to misunderstand you when they’re not in these rooms themselves.
