Reason why the drug dealers were so friendly is because they're at the top of the pipeline, so they can always find someone else to sell the drugs to. The guys with the money actually need the drugs to make more money, and an entire supply chain is going to be disrupted by their mistakes. So they have no option to leave the deal empty handed.
