You made laugh at the end. Just a couple of days ago I too thought I had enough gas to make it to my planned gas station when she sputtered. Quickly hit my gps to find the closest station and with shaking and leaning way over to splash the last ounce of gas around I coasted up to the pump with a dead engine in neutral. Pretty embarrassing! Thanks for making me feel better, like I'm not the only one.
