Why did you skip the part where Serbians in Kosovo are being jailed with no reason and without trial? Why did you skip the part where Serbian homes are being bombed? Why did you skip the part where our churches are being robbed ? Why did you skip part where Kosovo policeman shoots at 9 and 11 year old kids, day before Christmas ? Why did you skip the part where homes of Serbs returning back to Kosovo are being burned ? Why did you skip all that and put "allegedly oppressed Serbs" ? This video does NOT reflect reality. It is very biased, unfortunately.

As someone from Serbia I can tell you that the chances of war are almost non existent. These kinds of videos are fun, but not likely to happen. The posturing is used only for internal political reasons on all sides. There are 3 main reasons: 1. Even if Serbia wanted a war hypothetically (which we don't), we are surrounded by either NATO countries or NATO protectorates (like Bosnia and Kosovo). There is no way that anyone would decide to go to war with 30+ countries just to get destroyed by NATO. Plus, all Ex Yugoslav armies are a joke compared to former self. 2. There is nothing to go to war for and very few that would be willing to fight. The war here is kinda seen as a thing of the past. We have lived through the consequences of the past war, and nobody would want to bring that back, neither the old generations that have been through it themselves, neither the new generations that have grown up in the aftermath. All countries in the region want to join the EU, develop our economies and gain further stability. We have some issues that need to be solved still (like Kosovo), and some things we don't agree on, but generally we are on the same path, just not with the same pace. 3. Neither the politicians nor the people want war. It would totally destroy any economic and social progress made in the past decades. The demographics are terrible, we have many more important problems to solve and a war would be suicidal. So yeah... not happening. The people know it, the politicans know it, the international community knows it. It's all just posturing. The remaining issues will be solved by diplomatic agreements. It just takes time.

I believe you on Bosnias part, but I have doubts about Serbs. From what I have studied the prelude to fall of Yugoslavia, tensions rose rather quickly in the end of 80s and early 90s from co-existence to all out war. Considering how popular phrase "Kosovo is Serbia" is over there, it is very much possible that they may go to war over it. But I believe it depends on the success of Russian invasion of Ukraine. If Russia manages to capitulate Ukraine, Serbs might get inspired for a rematch. If they get pushed back then they probably wont try anything. Also regardless of this wars outcome there is a new wave of nationalism sweeping across Europe.

It is our politics and sadly lack of education and common sense amongst masses of our people that add flame to hate and sepparation due to different religions and tradition that define all of our nations. I've visited almost all Balkan countries and wherever I went and said I was from Croatia I was always welcomed. Politics are constantly ruining Balkan nations because of their own interests. As a Kosovo-Albanian i can only speak from my perspective: Its a shame that after such tragic wars in the name of nationalism (but in truth it was always about power and greed, distraction from own incompetence) that most people never look at their own mistakes but blame the other side for everything. War criminals on both sides have been protected for years, on both sides, some hidden in plain sight, and even worse: hailed as heroes or voted into government. And they cant forgive and forget, so the wounds and tears never heal, some even pass their hate to their chlidren wo werent even born when all this happened. Those who try and use common sense and get rid of the corruption either wont get voted for or if they manage to get a seat at the table are eliminated such as Dindic. Rogova could have been the one for Kosovo but died because of his age. Every one after that only tried getting as much money for themselves. I dont think that there will be war (soon). But as long as corrupt politicians but also uneducated cilvilians keep spreading hate, as a form of distraction from their own inabilities, there will never be progress. We can only hope that younger generations will get tired of the moaning und living in the past, and somehow turn this mess around ❤

This is a bs take. The balkans have been one of the most peaceful regions in europe except for the 1910s and 90s, which were tragic. During the cold war, the balkans was where the iron curtain was at its least tense. During the interwar years it didn't face more war than any other part of europe at the time, in fact much less. In ww1 the balkans were invaded by austria, yet the region gets the blame for the hostilities. Now westerners continue this meme, which basically makes the 90s sound like what's normal for the region and not the absolute tragedy it actually was. This is highly offensive to people who lived through it and those who still have to live with the consequences. The balkans are today a place of parties and sunshine, loads of problems of course but still some of the best times the region has ever seen.

That's because of peace through strength. The only time in recent history there has been war in Europe is when serbia and Russia lie and steal land from the ethnic indigenous people. Russia and serbia use the exact same lies and tactics. Russia lies when they say Russian people are being treated unfairly in Ukraine when Russians are trying to steal elections and land in Ukraine. These Russians in Ukraine were put their illegally when russia was occupying ukraine in a long-term plot to steal Ukraine. Those Russians in ukraine are not indigenous and were planted there and it's actually documented when the Russian government planted them there. Serbia uses the same tactics in the balkans. Serbs are Slavic people from Russia and are not from albania or the balkans. Everyone knows this including the Serbs. Albania is the oldest country and language in Europe history and the albanian language distinctively its own and doesn't derive from any of the other European languages. All historians know this and know that land is ALBANIA and Serbs come from Russia. Just like the Arabic speaking turks come from the middle east. The turkish people today do not speak the ethnic language and are not the ethnic people of turkey. They have become extinct because of the turks today who are ancestors of the Persians. Turks Russians and Serbs all rely on the same lies and this is why they are all historical allies. Because the liars have to unite when the TRUTH and rightful indigenous people are still alive.

I try to keep up with current political events in dozens of countries, mostly in Europe and Latin America. Therefore, events like regional elections or changes in government in any given country usually don't escape my attention. Yesterday, while updating my "database" on Serbia, I came across a couple of interesting events in that country. Firstly, Ana Brnabić, the highest-ranking LGBT representative in an Orthodox country, announced her resignation as prime minister. Brnabić was appointed to this position by President Aleksandar Vučić seven years ago. This required courage, as it could easily have incurred the wrath of Serbian nationalists, who, like nationalists in any other Orthodox country, are very homophobic. But apparently, Vučić wanted to send a signal to the European Union that his country is not only oriented towards Russia but also towards Europe. After Brnabić's departure, her position will be taken by the former defense minister of the country. Secondly, Serbia announced that it is ready to buy 12 Rafale fighter jets from France, each costing approximately $120 million. This is a very unusual decision because Serbia usually buys weapons from Russia. Under normal circumstances, Serbia's decision to buy fighters from another country-especially from a NATO member-would have provoked the Kremlin's anger and accusations of betrayal against Belgrade. But not this time. Why? In my opinion, there can only be one explanation: Russia itself lacks fighters. It seems that the entire military aviation is engaged on the Ukrainian front. And this is a good indication that Russia's military resources are not limitless.

@SeemsLogical6 ай бұрын
@@KeiTh0r It was a whole lot of Nationalism, namely on the Serbian side, that sparked the war. The Serbian leadership had an "Us versus Them" mentality and demonized the non-Serbian people in and around their nation. Then when enough people were riled up they just pointed and gave orders. They built a powder keg and lit a match. It is very much how all wars start. Greed, Hatred, Retribution, Pride, Deceit & Violence all were utilized to break the peace and start the wars. Peace begins when you humanize your enemy and start to relate to their troubles because you know what it feels like. But it usually takes people losing too much, growing tired and weary, not seeing any reward in the continued fighting to continue fighting. If you read many of the comments from people living in this part of the world, that's the sentiment they have. They remember or see the aftermath of war. They see the immense cost of war and the miniscule gain the war achieved. It is the best way to inoculate a nation from wanting war. But that sentiment fades as time moves on as those who remember it die off and the marks of war get paved over by progress. Without those reminders people become prone to waging war again. Because history is cyclical.

There is much less then 1 million, by some estimates around 800k+ and another fact that there is only 600k+ sim cards registered in the province. There was never more then 1.5 million Albanian in Kosovo and Metohia. The majority of Albanians that were killed during the conflict were by the hands of UCK for being loyal to Srbia and not being loyal to the Albanian cause, and far less died as collateral damage between the fight of UCK against Serbian forces! 15:00 It's also odd that before the bombing started, no exodus or so called ethnic cleansing happened as no Albanians were leaving, but as the bombing started over 800,000 Albanians left Kosovo and Metohia. As for all those so called 20,000 women that were raped, when investigated by the EU, UN, and the USA, no evidence was found and proven that it was fake accusations! And pretty soon we will take Kosovo and Metohija back! That's the end of the story! 38:00 It's utter rubbish to claim that NATO bombed the Chinese Embassy by accident when it was done deliberately to try to show China who is the boss! 38:40 It's a lie that the government said that would recognize Kosovo independence in any way and it will never happen as for any politician in Serbia to even try to talk about it would be a political suicide. That's why all of those so called politicians in Serbia that support Kosovo independence and are praised by the Albanians, can't even cross the census in elections. The people of Serbia would never let any of these two options ever happen!

So the US nukes Japan twice, because it's a "unique" situation in WW2. Then US intervenes in Kosovo, circumventing the UN, because again, it's a "unique" situation. I'm sensing a pattern. You should've mentioned the US's geopolitical interests as well, their base in Kosovo, Bondsteel, is there only so they can have an influence over this region. They couldn't give a single fuck about Kosovo. Can you also make a video about how Kosovo became over 90% Albanian? Because it sure wasn't 800 years ago when we were fighting the Ottomans to defend this country. The only army "kosovars" supplied to fight the Ottomans were a couple of families, that's it. You'd think, if it was a nation of its own, they'd have more than that. Also, isn't it curious how the name "Kosovo" means nothing in Albanian? Because in Serbian, "Kos" is a blackbird. Kosovsko polje literally means blackbird's field. Curious how a territory, they magically claim is theirs, isn't even named by them. You'd think if you go back in history, you'd find something, but there isn't much. Not Greek or Roman historians have recorded much about the existance of Albanians, apart from an "albanoi" tribe. And the Kingdom of Dardania was a tribe. Not a kingdom. But hey... None of this matters. You got what you wanted, because you have the bigger stick. You circumvented international law, ignored the UN and EU, and had your way. But that's okay. Because the same thing that happened to Kosovo, is happening right now to France, Germany, England and the rest of Western Europe. This event, pivotal for Bangladesh’s independence, led to immense loss and suffering, (3M k!ll3d and 300k R word) yet remains underrepresented in global consciousness. Your ability to present such topics with respect and depth could significantly honor the memory of the victims and educate a wide audience about its significance. the issue is not in the West. the issue is that comparing Biden's and tramp's stances on "map redrawing" it is really clear why tramp wants to redraw, it is not a big secret that tramp is an authoritarian anti-American chaos agent, by redrawing there will just be more wars, the no-redrawing outcome is painful to the authoritarian world because in such a reality it doesn't matter which groups of people live on a territory - all people are people with rights and freedoms, lowering the importance of ethnicity is a positive move that prevents rightness of the false claims such as serbian "protecting rights of serbians anywhere (in kosovo)" or russian "protecting russians (in Ukraine)".

I can respect the opinions expressed by the Bosinians and Serbians in the comments saying the war is extremely unlikely. But I still vividly remember that, prior to the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian war, many Ukrainians also expressed very similiar disbelief in any large scale military conflict to actually emerge. When a war starts, people change their stance very quickly. I believe that the commentors really feel like their friends and neighbors are against a war, but a future free of war is far from guarantee imo.
@nebojsarodic172011 ай бұрын
With all due respect, they are well aware of this. We've had wars in the recent past so the impression is nothing new. Wars are not about people wanting them, that would be the case in an ideal world where we lived in democracies that actually are ruled by the people themselves. We do not live in such countries and this is often where thinking of people from more democratic places completely fails them when they think about ex-Yugoslavian countries. Here things do not go the way the people want them to go, public opinion polls are often rigged/fake, elections are held just so you could say "hey we had elections" and corruption is rampant. I think it's more of a hope thing, people hope there will be no more wars. I am from a part of Serbia which is very ethnically diverse, something similar to Bosnia. I am sure that in Bosnia, before the war, no one wanted to go to war with their neighbours. It was not their decision to go to war, however. The ones who did make the decision I think mostly got what they wanted (power, money).

In the early 1900’s actually it was Albanian. And there are churches dated since the Byzantine empire times. And it was Albanian even before 1900’s. During the middle ages it was Albanian ruled by Albanian families. Yeah there were Serbs too up in north and despite some non agreements, they were living in peace with each other. The religion was Christian on both sides and not to mention Saint Angelina is Albanian which was married to the prince Stefan Brankovic (Serbian). Now everything went to shit after Ottoman empire. A lot of Albanians converted to muslim to avoid taxes and getting killed, just like a lot of Albanians fought for freedom. We got our independence in 1912, and the the borders which were Albanian were presented to the Conference of London which Russia strongly disagreed. What happened? 1st Balkan war was not only to kick out the ottomans, but was seen as an opportunity by Greece, Montenegro and Serbia to minimise the Albanian territories and killing Albanians, hence we have the borders that we do today. Now the history told us that after 1800 we were the defenders and Serbia was the attacker. With the Russian support Serbia begun the Anti-Albanian policy God knows why(probably Religion and for Serbia to get Sea access). You guys probably learn in schools in Serbia that Albania was created in 1912, and you grow up with that idea and believe it. I blame you shitty government for that, but then I blame you people for deciding not to listen and learn the truth. I have met Serbian people who told me that yes in Serbia there is this Anti Albanian propaganda, and in no way you can accept that fact that we have been here since before the birth of Christ. Anyway, we Albanians are here at home, and even if a Serb comes in our home we will welcome him, and believe me I would be more than happy to guide him in all our historical facts and proofs that we do have, no to tell them that we are right and you are wrong, but to leave the painful past behind, see the truth, and look for a peaceful future.

The Balkans is always such a tricky topic. I’m only half Serb, but my father is from Gjilian. A town about an hour away from Pristina, Kosovo. He said that it was always relatively peaceful, he got along with his Albanian neighbors and lived peacefully among them. He was born in the 50s, his family lived there for generations (His father’s side) Obviously the 90s what a shit show. We all know it. All his extended family left Gjilian, we have no ties to it anymore. He became essentially stateless, residing in a country (US) that recognized Kosovo but essentially a citizen of Serbia, one that didn’t recognize it. Stuck in limbo for about two decades. We know that today Kosovo is mostly Albanian. Only certain sections of the north west are Serb majority. Heck, Gjilian doesn’t even register on the maps RLO showed. I don’t think a war is to happen, I think that this video was a little exaggerated in the beginning but the remaining family in Serbia, the last thing they want is war. The main thing that is frustrating for Serbs is the double standard the world stage (mostly the West) puts.

That is only one argument not spoken here, but the other Serbian arguments (valid or invalid, just or not just) are also are omitted, mostly to give anti Trump conclusion at the end.

@@jommydavi2197 mostly portraying the Serbian side as constant aggressors. I won’t touch the Bosnia war cause it’s a much bigger beast compared to the relatively much simpler Kosovo situation. I’ll briefly mention that the US has no real interest in keeping peace or defending anyone, they just serve their own interest. For example the so called Kosovo government gave mining rights to Wesley Clark, who led the 1999 NATO bombing against Serbia, and I’ll mention Camp Bondsteel, which wouldn’t have been possible to build if Serbia had control over Kosovo. That’s not to say the Serbs didn’t commit crimes, it’s more to do with the narrative that the Albanians were innocent people and that the US was just protecting them which is of course false. Most of the drugs smuggled into Europe go through Albania, a large amount of firearms go through there as well so it’s neat to be able to keep it in control, as well as having a military base there gives you influence and control over the Balkans shall something happen. The Albanians mostly moved to Kosovo in the 20th century, during Tito’s rule of Yugoslavia. All in all the video covers one side of the conflict more than the other and there were a few incorrect statements regarding that conflict so it’s better taken with a grain of salt. There are some interesting things said which were correct so I would say they dug deep into the whole topic, albeit skewing the overall picture. There’s much more to learn about the whole Balkans and their conflicts and it’s really interesting and it goes much deeper than it seems on the surface.

I can draw a comparison and say the Albanians have been ethnically cleansing Kosovo for the past three decades, you really can’t make up a concrete opinion on the matter until you’ve researched it well. I’ll point you to rewatch the beginning of the video where they say the Serbs planned to ethnically cleanse a part of Croatia, and then they mentioned the Serbs fled or were forces to move, while not mentioning that there was a planned military operation by the Croats in 1995 to run them out. There’s not much evidence that I’ve seen that would support the claim that the Serbs had planned to do that, adding to that the remote region of Croatia that was on the opposite side of Bosnia relative to Serbia so it doesn’t make much sense. If you ask the Croats, most of them would tell you that they succesfully ethnically cleansed that part of Croatia and it’s not something they try and hide, given that it’s celebrated annually down there. Goes to show you really gotta do your own research and base your opinion on multiple sources, as each will give you a new perspective.

Why have you failed to mention the illegal Representative's intentions to expropriate the land and infrastructure of Republika Srpska, directly undermining Dayton Peace Accords and in the process sparking secessionism from Dodik in order to save RS's property? 4. Why have you failed to mention what has been happening around Srebrenica between 1992 and 1995 before the Serbs decided to act? Why have you failed to mention what radical islamists did on Orthodox Christmas in Kravice in 1993? 5. Why have you failed to mention Al Qaeda fighters training Bosnian Jihadists and joining the fighting on their side? Why don't we mention decapitations of civilians (entire families at a time in some cases) in the name of Jihad while were are at it? 6. Why have you failed to mention organ theft for the black market (Operation Yellow House) by the leaders of the KLA? (read Swiss politician and state prosecutor Dick Marty's report to Council of Europe on this issue) 7. Why have you failed to mention that NATO deliberately bombed infrastructure marked as HAZARDOUS (chemical plants and such), using depleted uranium bombs? On that note, why have you failed to mention cancer rates rising exponentially as a result in both Serbia and Kosovo, and Italian peacekeepers suing the US over being diagnosed with cancer while stationed there? 8. Why have you failed to mention that right after the Kosovo war, Albanian terrorists immediately started another secessionist war in Macedonia in 2001? 9. Why have you failed to mention what led to recent flare up of tensions in Kosovo? Why have you failed to mention that they ALREADY AGREED in 2013 on autonomy for the Serb population, but simply backtracked on it in recent negotiations? Why haven't you mentioned their economic blockade of Northern Kosovo, blockade of pharmaceutical necessities coming from Serbia, etc? I have a lot more questions in store regarding this video, but I'd like to see if you will answer these first. I'll wait.

US “accidentally” bombed the Chinese embassy in Belgrade - how conveniently that gets omitted.

I equally "loved" it when he said that Greece and basically any other country to oppose the terrorist occupation of Kosovo is doing it for essentially selfish reasons such as not wanting separatist movements in their own countries to gain morale, because "obviously" there is no other reason to oppose the agression, right? I can't believe it took me this long to sniff out this spook and unsubscribe from him.

@@Greensanctuary-c4w How many villages, hospitals, churches, mosques, libraries, and other civil buildings did Serbia bomb and destroy in three seperate countries? You play victim while forgetting the atrocities you have commited. You can't dish out damage and cry when damage gets dished out to you.

@@Kevin_M312I don't play a victim. I lived in Bosnia when war broke and my house was burnt down to the ground with my mother and sister in it. Then my grandma took my brother and me to Kosovo but we had to flee because of the ethnic cleansing of Serbs there. Then we moved to Nish when cassette bombs with depleted uranium fell on us. Now I live with cancer. So ..
