hi there, thanks for watching! Yes, we found it to be a more affordable alternative to Croatia. That said, Croatia is amazing and worth visiting too if you can.

We loved, loved, loved Montenegro! We vacationed there a few years and this video brings back so many great memories. When walking around shops or eating in outdoor cafes it seems like a fairy tail, beautiful.

Hey Chris & Tovah! We share the same sentiment as you with Montenegro. The area around Kotor was breathtaking and having lunch overlooking the bay was an experience we won't forget any time soon! The beaches around Budva were also amazing. Thanks for watching and we hope you are both well. -Jon

I stayed at Marinero Apartments in Budva. Like staying at a Luxury apt. In the states. The owners were splendidly hospitable & it was very inexpensive.

Well that's not true for peak season which is 4times as expensive.. July 2024. -Daily spendings food and sunbeds 50eur. -A decent apartment is 150-200eur a day. Item costs: -Sunbeds 15-20eur. -Food 11-35eur. Pasta to meat dishes -drinks 6-9eur, beer 6eur. -short boat tour 7eur to 3hours for 20eur. -Nightclub entrance 20eur. As expensive as Croatia or French Riviera actually

How warm is it in May? 😊
@BucketListTravellers
@BucketListTravellers Жыл бұрын
We were there mid May and it was starting to heat up. We would say that the weather was perfect at around 25-27C/77-80F. It was definitely warm enough for a swim, althought the water was still cool at around 18C/65F.

Yes it was in Kotor and this was May! There are around 3 cruise ships that come each day and it gets pretty hectic. It then quietens down in the evening and is charming to venture through.

We travel very thriftly that's for sure! That is necessary when you plan to travel for the majority of the year. That said, we do spurge on nice accommodation every once in a while. We also try to avoid peak seasons, especially in Europe, and that helps. Thanks for watching!

Do you have any suggestions for the scooty rental in Montenegro?
@BucketListTravellers
@BucketListTravellers Жыл бұрын
Hi there, sorry we didn't look into the scooter rental while we were in Montenegro. Most of the places we visited were easy enough to walk around. There were regular shuttle buses from city to city as well, which was helpful. That said, having a scooter would be very handy to visit some of the nice beaches along the coast or some of the smaller towns, like Perast.
