When you get something wrong and have to make a note about it, only to accidentally circle back around to being correct. Anyway, eyeless jack feels like the creepypasta equivalent of when a fandom latches onto a background character and goes wide making up lore for them

I think this is the main reason why creepypasta are still somewhat popular to this day the Fandom can take a blank character like eyels Jack and make it from one of the worst creepypasta ever written into one of the best Creepypaste ever with the creepypasta fandom is a definition of a passion fandom
@spooket8464
@spooket8464 4 ай бұрын
One cool thing about the fandom is that (I think) we made up that he was a doctor/med school student in his past which is why he preformed a perfectly fine kidney surgery and even knew to stich the wounds and take it out in a way that the main character didn't even notice. That didn't make sense in the story itself but the fans made it completely make sense.

Things my Jack has : -A significant other (dead but in denial about it) and a son (pre-teen and Going Through It) -A waffle pan-shaped scar on his left cheek -Fought God (and lost) -Wrestled a genuine demon into submission -A collection of vintage medical equipment -Made a crib out of a ribcage -Depression -Medically accurate causes and consequences for his cannibalistic diet -Bitten at least three cryptids

Speaking of fanfiction, maybe you could try writing your own version of Eyeless Jack! You could give it the same treatment as your Jeff The Killer rewrite, and invite some of your friends for voice acting like last time. Maybe sprinkle in a few references to your favorite fan interpretations of the original story, if you can find some you like. What do you think?

Back in middle school, I was introduced to Eyeless Jack through a speed paint video. The artist was reading off La-Mishi-Mish's Eyeless Jack fic while they were drawing Eyeless Jack. This is a great video! I think Eyeless Jack is proof that, for the most part at least, there's no such thing as a bad idea, only bad execution and writing. As long as you have a foundation, it's only a matter of properly fleshing out your world and characters! On the topic of internet horror, you've probably been asked this before, Pastra, but I really would like to see you make at least one video on the SCP Foundation. I'm okay with anything, really, so long as you enjoy that topic... No, seriously, I don't want another Iron Lung situation lol.

Eyeless Jack is one of my favorite creepypastas... for the concept only. Beforehand, I viewed Eyeless Jack as a nice proof-of-concept that was never fleshed out or expanded upon, and even after this video, while it's certainly nice to see the character with his own fandom, Jack himself still feels too bare bones to really be interesting. Sure, you can do whatever you want with him, but I would also like something more to the character beyond just the basics. That's just me though.

I dont know much about the author, but from the few details you gave about them, i got the impression that they really cared about the character but weren't very good at writing horror stories themselves so a bunch of fan just taking on the character for themselves may have ended up being a blessing in disguise as they now can share their character story and stuff while other people take care of the actual writing.

This sent me into a rant to some nonexistent audience about why I love fanfiction. I'm still salty so many people look down on it, and that it made me look down on it too all those years ago. I now unabashedly say I am passionate about fanfiction. But I have not forgotten. This is one of the few types of things I can hold grudges about

Oh gods, I remember the Mishi Mish version of the story and I remember when it came out. Goddamn, it's been a long time. (Also Mishi Mish as a creator was uhhhhhh, interesting to say the very least.) Great video as usual! Side Note: I also made an origin story for EJ, and... honestly, if I rewrote it and polished it up, it could probably be good, but it's also not at all canon and involves an OC of mine (because I have CP OCs lmao)

I always forgot this was the original story for Eyeless jack since the one I always loved Mishi Mishi's story. Like its such a simple character but so well done and the design is so flexiable.

I feel like now Pastra should make a video about Sonic.exe & how it went from a crappy creepypasta to a well beloved legacy, or Suicide Mouse.avi & how he might've existed bc of Disney

As a former early 2000s creepypasta fangirl who had a crush on Eyeless Jack, this video is wonderful and accurate

Yeah, back when I was exploring all the classic pastas, Eyeless Jack stuck out to me. Not the story, I had SEVERAL issues with the story itself, but I really vibed with knowing next to nothing about Jack itself. Makes it feel like some kind of cryptid encounter that those who experienced it and lived to tell of it had no clue what it was, but just what it DOES, what it looks like, you get very little, and that's fascinating!

Funny thing I made an oc that fits the visual description of eyeless Jack completely unknowingly, with deep hallow eyes that leak a dark inky liquid

Despite the fact that you're doing a creepypasta series rn, I think it would be cool for you to do a video analysing Spamton form Deltarune considering the new chapters are coming out this year-ish and I think your style of analysis would be great for his character. (Also the fact that Swankmann was partially inspired by him is pretty cool)
