It’s not as bad as you think. I measured it out to test myself with a tape measure and it’s actually pretty easy. On the phone or whatever you’re watching this video on, it’s deceiving because it look further than it actually is on a video.

@@Sniper_Man_Clips I just got a 30m tape measure, and measured out the dimensions of my local Tesco car park on a Sunday when it was quiet, then once I knew the 20m distance, I just went when the car park was full the next day, and tested myself on a load of number plates.

Yeah you can do that, go much eerie before your test read the number plates and when the examiner says read a number plate chances are you’ll know

Can you fail if you get a letter or number wrong

You must get all letters and numbers correct. If you don't the first time, the examiner may give you another try however it's important to remember that if you fail the eyesight test, the driving test will not go ahead.

So basically I've failed... my prescription glasses apparently dont make it easy for me to see, I can just about read the plate but not clearly... is that normal or not?

If you are unable to successfully do the eyesight test, it may be worth seeing your opticians to check that your prescription is up to date!

@@DrivingTestSuccess eyesight was no problem in the end, however I failed my test with the 1 and only mistake on the whole drive, I drifted into a lane(that was empty) when coming off of a roundabout that had faint lines :(

@@SimplySammyK why does your prescription make it hard for you to see if you don’t mind me asking? I’m very short sighted so need a strong prescription, so maybe can relate... however I find reading a number plate from 20 meters fine

@@fullsendmountainbiker5844 it doesn't make it harder but it doesn't make it clear like it's supposed to. I just needed a new prescription. I have astigmatism so my left eye makes it hard to see lol. It's weird

It’s lies only about 15m both times piss easy not proud to say both tho hopefully 3rd times a charm 😂😂 failed both times 1 major 4 minors made stupid mistakes 🫣
