This is the swing I've always fell back on when things weren't going right and after too long messing around with uncomfortable swings have decided to quit listening to all those trying to twist me into pro swings and just swing easy and smooth. Now I found your videos and am more optimistic concerning my game than ever before. I'm not a young flexible 25 yr old with pro talent and I can't swing that way without discomfort. Another thing I have found though is my distance hasn't really suffered, I hit my longest drive ever, 299 yards, with that easy smooth swing and I'm hitting more consistent shots than ever. Looking forward to better rounds, thanks.

Never doubted you for a second. I picked up about 1/2 club with the "LA dance" just getting to my left side with consistency. I am going later this week to see where I'm at with a monitor. The advantage of course is to know not think how far I can hit each club. Just keep posting and I'll keep watching. I can see the brown grass this weekend so spring must be on the way here in snow country. Thank you, as always.

Nice video. Your swing is the perfect model for anyone at any age who wants to keep the mechanics and motion simple, promoting consistency. I am surprised that anyone questioned your shot distances and thus your integrity. I assume that some people are deceived by how smooth and easy the swing appears and conclude that your club head speed is much lower than it really is.

Dear Jo and Julian, thanks for your email. All well here in Finland (how else, we are the happiest country in the world, just to remind you 😀), hope with you, too. And the return trip worked out as planned, no problems but only a minor delay with the final flight from FRA to HEL. And likewise, it was a great pleasure to meet both of you as well as Patricia and Jeff there last week. You are such a lovely company and it couldn't just have been any better. We were so lucky to get such a high-level private coaching! My wife registered for a ladies golf training at our local club and the group started their season yesterday, they will meet ever Monday evening throughout the season. Thus, I used the opportunity to go and practise my new skills, and guess what? I hit so nice shots one after another that couldn't really believe it. Julian, even with my driver I could hit to where I was aiming, amazing 😊. Just remembered the basic principles and so simple it was... Then also spent some time in a bunker but it just got boring since it was too easy to get the balls landing where I wanted them to land 😂. My wife told me later than the husband of one of her friends had told her that Harri (a local pro) seems to be practicing over there in a bunker. My wife had just answered to him that no, that is my husband 😂. Finally, I went to test some chipping, and from different lies and distances it just simply worked... Relaxed... I did not take any video yesterday but next time I will. I will then send a copy to Julian and you can check if all is fine. But if it is going to be like yesterday, I don't think there's too much wrong... 😎 Following all the excellent advise from Julian, I guess I just remembered to follow it all. At least it was so easy and after 90 minutes my body was just feeling great, no pain nothing, not even stiffness this morning. However, I must disappoint you: most of the time I wasn't thinking anything at all but just having fun and enjoying golf, also doing those small exersices like hitting some shots when dancing from one side to another etc. 😀 Let's see when I'll have a chance to go to play a round, it will be fun! ☀️ Let's keep in touch, thank you once more so much for your kindness and hospitality during our visit there! All the best, kind regards Mika

AS expected very good distances with the ball going straight. For senior golfers like me the great advantage of ''the easiest swing'' is that we can enjoy playing golf without straining or hurting ourselves. When I play tennis & table tennis opponents 50 years younger do NOT give me several points start. In golf if you have any sense use your golf handicap & sensible club selection to beat the long hitting players. Julian's excellent, staightforward & easy to follow advice make a difficult, challenging game a lot easier. We should ALL be grateful to Julian rather than try & find some minor problems. Enough said. I hope many players agree & add appreciative comments to Julian. From Alan Goudie age 75 still playing with a handicap of 21.

Great, thanks for this Julian, I was one of the ones asking to see distances of shots hit with such a relaxed swing. This is fabulous and really proves the point that you don't have to try and smash it out of the park with tremendous effort. I'm prone to a bad lower back and also rib pain, and have been trying to adopt the easiest swing methodology. I hold the club very lightly as though I feel it is going to fly out of my grip (it doesn't!!), and swing like yourself and Brian. I'm not there yet, I keep thinning a few shots especially over the first few holes, and my 7 iron is only going about 130yds max, my timing and tempo doesn't feel quite right yet, I think I've still got some hangovers in there from my "old" swing - BUT NO BACK OR RIB PAIN in the last 6 rounds of golf !! :-) Thanks for all your efforts, and responsiveness to comments. I'm going to keep persevering with this until it becomes natural - I practice the Danse du Golf every day now, as well as yoga stretches twice a day. Hopefully I can carry on with my golf for a lot longer, pain free - I'm 64. Please keep going with your informative series of videos - much appreciated.

Les...I went to see Brian because of exactly the same problems as you...tearing rib muscle and lower back pain...I can only say the results have been incredible...my handicap had been steadily going up over the last few years...I had 2 lessons with Brian...although the second was only a little tune up of my head not my swing...I shot the lowest round of my life went fro 10 down to 8 and no pain ...no effort...I haven't lost any distance infact ive gained ...stick with it I can't speak highly enough of this teaching method...it just unlocks the golfer you have inside you...he's in there trying to get out...you just need the key!!

I've just started using the easiest swing in the last few months, to start with I did well with it, then I started hitting a lot of fat shots. I've figured out that I still had some rigidity which seem to cause it, head kept down mainly. I've been practicing turning and just skimming the grass with the club and it's going well. Trust me, when you catch hold of one like this the ball is off like it owes you money. No lack of speed or distance.

Nice swing ...I was a bit surprised the distance with the 7 iron was high...but the driver not so long..not a criticism looks lovely and smooth....I am one of Brian's new pupils...I only hit the 7 about 150 ..but my driver is about the same as yours..I find it a bit strange i seem to be quite long with my short irons (pitching wedge 120) then mid irons seem to bunch up a bit ...and also when i really catch my 3 wood its as long as my driver..but with more draw shape... Loving the easiest swing and hitting it as well or better than i ever have ...but with much less effort

You put those on an 80 degree day with a medium fairway and you get 250 easy and probably closer to 260+. If there is one thing I have learned it is that the slower I swing the easier it is to decrease grip pressure and when I do both I got "Bombs Away!".

I'm new to this very interesting swing due to lower back pain and I really like the idea. However I noticed that in this demo your left heal hardly leaves the ground in the back swing and your left hand elbow dose not bend at all in the back swing. I thought the idea is to allow the left heal to move of the ground and the left elbow to bend in the back swing all in the concept of tension release and fluidity moment no?

Let’s remember those are carry numbers. Depending on the temperature and condition of the course. A driver at that distance could go 270 or more. In this cool day those are probably worse case distance.

I can see why people would doubt such an effortless swing could produce such good distance. I am not a doubter, I am a disciple, but I wish you would have shown all the numbers and given us enough time to read them. I’ve watched most of Rick Shields golf club reviews and always enjoyed seeing all the numbers, even though his “facts” don’t have anything to do with my 60 mph swing.

Brian Sparks, in his book, says that the club's ultimate goal isn't the golf ball or even the target, but the back of the golfer (i.e. a complete follow through). The biggest difference I see between your swing and mine--or any of my buddies--isn't the set-up or backswing, but the followthrough. Your easy swing builds speed gradually BUT DOESN'T SLOW DOWN UNTIL THE CLUB IS OVER YOUR LEFT SHOULDER. Am I on the right track? Is that what I'm seeing? BTW, a good 7-iron for me is 130; very depressing.

Julian let preface my comments by saying I love all your videos. The easy swing method is very relaxing when playing a golf shot, BUT I am a pessimist when it comes to flight scopes and radar caddies. The shot you show with the seven iron can't possibly carry 161 yards, and the driver a 230 carry? No way. My swing is around 80+ and I'm lucky to get 200 yards. In the video, your swing looks like it's about 80 at most. How can that get you 235 yards carry? You need to be near 100 mph to get that distance. Don't hate me for my comments, as I said I love all your videos, they are very educational, but if you want to convert me on the distance you will have to show me your shots on a driving range with the ball traveling in the air, not a flight scope.

I don’t feel I need to try and convert you Joe. One piece of advice, never underestimate the efficiency and speed of a relaxed body that moves in coordination with the club , ps I don’t hate anyone 😀👍
