How Far I’ll Go | Moana Sax Cover

How Far I’ll Go from 2016’s Moana was the first “I Want” Disney song to follow up Let It Go from Frozen. Lin-Manuel Miranda kept it simple and blended the Hawaiian/Polynesian vibe with the classic twinkly strings and powerful french horn of your typical Disney Act 1 showstopper.
I added some more complex harmony inspired by A Capella Group Voctave, and rocked up the drums a bit inspired by Q.Rum. covered beautifully by Drew Wright

I am going to do the title screen theme soon! I’m just a little short staffed right now and that one really needs guitar and trombone. Also, with the rhythmic subtleties of the swing vs. straight I’d probably want to record several instruments live at the same time which causes its own scheduling issues. But soon!
