Fascinating! When I first moved to The Netherlands, I had never tried to cook white asparagus before. I prepared a nice amount of it and served it to my guests...they were polite and said nothing. My Dutch husband was the one to tell me that it must be peeled first! Hello from Enkhuizen!

Sure makes you wonder how they make a profit in the end. With all those expenses in just the farming portion of their business, they must be extremely good at running the accounting portion. I'm also sceptical about the modern equipment being more cost effective than the manual laborers. Machinery like that tends to cost a fortune and breaks down alot. The harvesting laborers would be my pick if it was my business. Great video. Thanks.

Look at the insane amount of energy spent just to cultivate & harvest a niche veggie like the Asparagus! It serves only as a side dish for hell's sake! Are you kidding me? With that kind of resources, we the Indian Farmers would be able produce enough food to feed the entire Denmark! Ridiculous wastage! And you are glorifying it?
