Carl. Great video. Have you considered laying the micron or nut milk bag into a basket colander so it can be lifted out and removed easily while keeping its shape? It would seem that having an easily removable “frame” for the bag would make the transfer easier without disturbing the curds as much…🤔

Since I have recorded this video, I did get a big restaurant strainer because I was thinking the same thing.

I still haven't worked up the gumption to try this...maybe with a smaller quantity! I love that you went over the pitfalls and screwups from previous attempts instead of being like "I was an instant expert on this."

I am not an expert really in anything, LOL. But yes I want to have people understand my mistakes and understand they will have their own to.

I love the rum vortex you created to empty the bottle! Love this experiment too!

Carl, This is great. I love Milk washing but I hate the time frame. This technique that you are showing here is interesting. I am curious to see your next attempt and how your changes make a difference. I am also curious to see what other techniques you might try for large volume. I can't wait to see more!!!
@carl_busch9 ай бұрын
I will sure make an update video when I get some more technical on the process

Do you rinse out the containers after transferring the liquid, or do you not worry about it because of the filtering?
@carl_busch9 ай бұрын
I am 100% washing out the containers after each pour. I don't want anything left behind to stick around.
@chrischesham50359 ай бұрын
That looks very yummy. How long did the filtering process take overall? I have done a couple cocktails at a time and it's a few hours.
@carl_busch9 ай бұрын
Ended up taking about 2.5 hours

Man I really need to do some milk washing. Haven't tried it yet. Not sure I'm gonna do a gallon but interesting to see how you handle that much liquid.
@carl_busch9 ай бұрын
A gallon is a lot for sure. Maybe I should do a video of like 1 bottle of a normal size spirit?
@MrMoney3319 ай бұрын
I think people can probably shrink the measurements. But also love seeing other cocktails Milk washed. @@carl_busch
