Thank you, thank you Rob!!! I love all the hand strengthening drills you put up!!! Man why didn't I have someone like you 58 years ago???? Lol yes I'm 70 years old and I'm at it again. Not the best but not bad either!!! Keep up your awesome training lessons! Being black and growing up in South there were no good teachers like you!!!

I can only do 160 cleanly (for now), just putting it out there so other slow pokes don’t feel alone.

How many songs really require more than 160 bpm 16th notes?
@rubenssz6 ай бұрын
Nice exercise!!! One exercise I love to do is 2 bars of 16ths and then 2 bars of 32ths, starting at 40bpm, using the progression of 1bpm increase every 4 bars. So, I'll just go 40bpm, 41bpm, until my limit, wait a few hours, then do it again. It's great for getting speed quickly in any exercise, single stroke, double stroke or paradiddle.

Rob… You are all around AWESOME..!! Love your vibe/your videos/the way you guide/great humor!! Just got back into playing after many years and this time I’m doing it right. Practicing, practicing, practicing, working on technique/rudiments/solid doubles/singles to lay a really solid foundation. Very Appreciative to you for all you put out there for us all. Love this speed test video. Keep on being Awesome…🥁😎

with wrist/fingers comby, 205 is my max, 195 is where i am normally at and can stay. Higher and it starts to get crampy hahaha. tip: you can also use bassdrum with the 1, makes it easier

Gonna go work that out now, and thanks for the push, the perspective in all that you do for us that pay attention. It is appreciated. What sticks are you using - your overall go to sticks, and different types per intended application for use in different approach and effectiveness? Have you done any stick comparison tutorials? If so please share back/revisit

Flamuel L Jackson...love it! Great exercise Rob. What metronome are you using on that laptop? I can't seem to find one that has the big numbers to the beat.
@blujay91916 ай бұрын
Same question. The change of tone and color on the 'one' seems like it would let you concentrate on technique bettrer and just see the metronome out of the corner of your eye. I love the exercise too.

I think it's Polynome, should be on the app store. I don't use apple devices so I'm not sure. I prefer a hardware metronome I can throw stuff at when I get frustrated, rather than try to fix phone screens. 😁
