OMG, that’s Flamuel L Jackson! Mr L Jackson, you probably get this all the time, but I’m your biggest fan, I’ve seen all your moves! My favorites were, Pulpadiddle Fiction, Deep Blue Flamacue, Triple X Stroke Roll and A Time to Herta!

The beauty of these workouts, the singles, the doubles and the paradiddles can be played at 120,150,180 and onward by changing the playback speed respectively. 1, 1.25, 1.5…all the while giving Flammy his due respect. Another excellent workout with good company. Thanks again Rob!

Been doing this weekly and using a slightly heavier stick called a Danny Carey Vic firth which I love the feel. Then was keeping time with the left foot hi hat and threw in some random bass singles and doubles. Was kind of fun not losing sight of the sticking technique. Hope it’s cool Rob :)

Well I’m not even on my practice pad and I’m 3 min in. Practice pad stuff with some sort of backing track is way better than just clicks. This practice pad stuff pays dividends quickly on hand speed and stamina

Great workout, my first time doing the shifts, I stopped after 8-min. But I had already done 90-min. of all kinds of exercises, stick control single beats at 153 bpm, doubles, other paradiddles, singles, triplets, sextuplets, 5-stroke roles, 6-stroke roles, triplets&fast singles😅, you’ve taught me a-lot & my progress has been enormous over the pas t2-years since I started supporting you on Patreon, I just wish I’d have started much younger🤷🏻♂️, but I can’t go back, only forward @ a young almost 71 years of age 🤘🏻🥁🙏🏻

I did this today. I didn’t do it with the displacement. I can do it and will incorporate it into the the exercise. I did straight paradiddles and moved them around the kit. Practice pad on the snare and mufflers all around. I also included the kick and hats alternating. Great workout Rob, I will be doing this on a regular. I can all ready feel the benefits!

The development of my hands has been more than miraculous. I'm one that used to play heavily in church and stepped away after my grandpa passed (pastor). But, now that I've been getting asked play a lot, i thought it'd be good to bust through the ceiling that I gave myself. So, I got a practice pad as my only birthday present this past October and mannnn. Anyways, your videos have been very helpful and fun. God bless!!

After years of “sorta” playing drums trying to follow along to favorite songs, I recently began taking lessons with an amazing professional. We began with basic notes & rudiments. The problem being my genius brain only seems able to process/retain it if I can play it musically. Thanks to Sir Rob (he totally gets it), I’m now starting to play para-diddles, although only at 75 playback speed My wife’s recent comment was that it started to sound “rhythmic” to her! 👍🏼😄👏🏼

Great workout! Theres a point where you go so long you dont want to stop. This would work for those who arent up to 120bm yet by slowing the video down, it would also make a longer workout. Which is whats needed anyway. Thank for this fantastic inspiration!

Ok so Ive been going through the book stick control but have been doing that at half the speed so I know Ive got some form of control. I tried this exercise and am up to 80%. My goal is to get to the speed of this video in 2 months or less. I think its def doable. thanks OG. Oh yeah, and thanks for getting me into funk. I'm from the UK so funk in it's rawest form was never a big big thing over here (because you know we've always had our own musical culture, of course blended with yours (USA i.e mainly hip hiphop and that from Jamaica and Africa). But I'm about to bring that funk thing right back around, just watch me. Keep up the good work RB! 🙏

Love this (and all your videos). Doing this it every day for a month, and LISTENING, I discovered it wasn’t even, so slowed it down to 110 and focussed on my weaker hand (matched grip) adjusting the grip and the relative contributions of my fingers, wrist and arm to match my stronger hand…and presto….much much better sound. At the end I check by switching from Paradiddle, to singles to doubles and back. Huge thanks as always for all the good you do. Peter

If you could do a workout with paradiddle diddle/paradiddle some time in the future - I'd be sure to do that. RLRRLLRLRRLLRLRR LRLLRRLRLLRRLRLL. I do this one every day. But it would be great to have with the displacements and your coaching plus a backing track and the whole bit. Thanks for your awesome channel.
