Good evening Mr. Brown. I would like to thank you very much for your drum lessons. I am a 60 year old newbie and I take your beginner lessons very seriously. I am retired so there is alot of time spent doing pad work, syncopation, independence suck exercise, 10 beginners beats, left foot syncopation, funking up the high hats, solo 1,2,3 and 4. I'm now on 2. Triple 1/8. Etc, etc. Owe and yes, I get down to playing along with songs. My favorite is Brick ain't gonna hurt nobody. So I spend my time wisely looking and studying your videos. You are a great teacher and I appreciate your service. Faye from Philly.

Another fantastic video, Rob. My hands have become SO much better than they used to because your single-stroke accented 16th notes video, I can only imagine what this method of practice is going to do for my play. Keep yup the good work man

just hit my 1 month mark of doing this exercise on & off, & it really worked wonders for my ghost notes! just worked up to 71bpm yesterday from being unable to play this exercise at 40 at the start! i found that practicing at drastically different dynamics, especially reeeally quiet, keeps the exercise fresh! the control buff is really quite insane. thank you mr flamuel :>

Man your videos have been inspirational to practice on a pad. I kind of neglected practicing on the pad but since I’ve been doing it I’ve noticed a massive change in my playing

Cool exercise Rob! Flam exercises are cool - I also find they help developing more nimble hands, and I think they help develop better micro time as you get your ear train to recognise unintentional flams. Thanks for the exercise!

At first, I understand quickly what the concept was. Then I was surprised how deep the concept was. I'm a DCI vet. So I can truly appreciate how great a teacher Rob is. I learned something new and I learned a new way to teach others. Right on! Thanks, Rob! And happy belated birthday! You're a great teacher! And also as a Marine Corps vet, I think you have excellent leadership traits for many young drummers to exemplify. Flam on!

Rob always says the single stroke, double stroke, and single paradiddle are the only three rudiments at you HAVE to know. Which is dead on, but I would add flams to that as well.

Been saving this one up on my music computer next to e-drums for last couple weeks now. Found that I literally have to move the bpm to 50-55 to feel clean & get cumfier with it,(for whole exercise), but really enjoying the ongoing process overall...Thanks!

On the fourth exercise on the fourth beat do a paradiddle and then start over beginning with your left hand and vica versa...

There's been several times when I've had some issue with my drumming and like magic our man Flamuel seems to pop up with just what I needed. I was just thinking that I always felt like I've neglected flams a bit. Will definitely give this one a shot and I have a feeling it's going to end up in the rotation.

Brother, I didn't even realize the flams do that. I created my own flam exercise to learn different flam rudiments at once (flam, flam tap, flam accent, flamadiddle/flamadiddle-diddle, pataflala, swiss army triplet, flamacue) to get the hang of things. Out of nowhere I was moving quicker on the snare and drum pad. Took 3-4 months but the benefits were LUSH. I call it The Flam Family Exercise. Super interesting. I'm doing your more simple one. Thanks. I'll report back in 4 weeks. To drumming. :)

Brilliant lesson 👌makes you really listen and focus on what you're doing both with accents&ghost notes very deceptive in that you need more control of what's going on here... Perfect Flamuel 🥁🙏☠️
