Wannabe racers who are a pain on the road need to get on track and discover humility. I went on a track day early in my riding career, and it taught me a lot. 42 years later I am still riding.

Basically 10 seconds off wsbk, that is really fast in anything with plates. He was probably passing people with dedicated track bikes who were like "wtf!?!?"

IKR, he even used road tires, I didn't realize until the end when people say standard motorcycle, they usually still change to race tires and remove non essential road parts like plates, signs, and mirrors GG

OMG! I was smiling along with you during the initial start-up until the end of the video! I own a 2018 GSXR 1000R. As an added bonus, Yoshimura Suzuki sent me a slip-on muffler called an Alpha! The bike is a BEAST!! I am excited every time I pull away from my home and go for a 1-3 hour ride around southern California! You are an inspiration to anybody that rides fast sport bikes!! Great video Sylvain. Very rare to see a GP rider on the road. Most of them are banned from road riding by their teams and contracts. It's also great to see a pro rider vlogging. Keep it up, looking forward to more vids. Interesting would be to hear the differences in terms of riding and feel between Motogp Suzuki, and Gsxr 1000 road bike ..

Is the recorded lap your fastest of the day ? It is so clean and smooth ! Were you on stock / road suspension settings ? Thanks for doing these videos Sylvain. They really give an in depth look into the upper levels of the sport. If possible, it would be really cool if you could do a video where you do a hot lap stock, then put on slicks, do a hot lap, then set up the suspension, do a hot lap, etc...to compare how much gain you get out of each adjustment to the motorcycle. I imagine tires would have a bigger effect than anything else.

Hi Sylvain , nice to see a proper racer doing one of these videos instead of someone that thinks they’re a racer. We met once briefly at a Ron Haslam race school day. In fact it was after that I got into sports bikes. I am a Gsxr fan but can no longer ride . Great vid 👍
