These videos are awesome. I have had my 660 since 23 but in the process of converting to a full track bike this winter. Timing of these have been perfect for me 👍🏼n

Good timing, I've been thinking about getting this bike. Where I live, more than 120 HP is not going to be used very often.

A real insight into claims of new bike manufacturers and actual facts of HP? Once again Dave putting into layman’s terms for us real world public!

Hey absolutely love these videos, run my own rs660 aswell. Is it possible to get a full parts list at some point? Especially the rear brake setup is something I would love to copy myself

It's a HEL master cylinder onto the stock caliper, easy. You'll just need a loooong line to go between

I got 156mph out of mine running Gabro UpMap, Gabro stacks, Sprint P08, Akrapovic exhaust and a splash of octane booster.

@obsession_engineering on the dash. Stock gearing with mirrors, lights, and stock fairings. Dunno if that matters

So roughly 110-112 hp at the crank for your bike. 10-12% drivetrain loss equaling the 99 rear wheel registered on the dyno.
@philipwoodall30669 сағат бұрын
This is a DynaPro Dyno. (Best Dynos in my view) If you look in the lower right of the graph it says DJHP . This means it is reading similar to a Dyno Jet or what I refer to as Fudged Crank Power. ( since it is not possible to measure at the rear wheel and get accurate crank power - only an approximation) If you uncheck the DJHP selection you get genuine Rear Wheel Power which on this dyno will be about 12% less ie about 88.5HP

They sell these down the road called HBR power sports there about 7k usd. Think they would be a good street track bike?

Only one lambda sensor on these engines? Is it not possible to map each cylinder individually?
@obsession_engineeringКүн бұрын
There's a lambda in each header, but we only built a single map as the dyno only has one lambda feed

I can't speak to how it goes but it absolutely sounds the business!!!!
@gabroracingКүн бұрын
Sportbike have throttle limited to 85% that is probably why there is that 100hp difference
@obsession_engineeringКүн бұрын
As I'm sure you know Gabro, the last 15% on a stock engine only makes about 1 bhp, and we've run similar tests on full power standard engines, the difference is always around 10bhp
@AllenTodd20 сағат бұрын
what was the final weight savings with this build?
@obsession_engineering18 сағат бұрын
I didn't actually weigh it, but from experience I'd estimate 150kg, +/- 2

Why would you go with a piggy back vs a direct ECU tune?
@obsession_engineeringКүн бұрын
Easier, and we know the system works
@DMNThieuКүн бұрын
@obsession_engineering Well, my buddy owns Open Flash Performance if you’d like to get introduced, let me know. Hi dyno tunes are better without the extra hop and weight.

Why is it everyone refers to Hp? Yes it's a thing, but where and how an engine make its power is far more important! For example, 100hp & 35 ft-lb of torques is nothing compared to 85hp & 60 ft-lb of torques. Making a 100hp at 11,000 & 35ft-lb at 9000. What's that = no mid range or bottom end, or top end for that matter! Let's start hearing where and how much torques are made! In my opinion.
