So good to see the younger skaters paying tribute to how Yuzu paved the way for new quads to be included into programs, including difficult entries and exits... I hope they will also include transitions and flow into their programs in future, not just quads.

I agree. He has set such a good example of being respectful with others and not seeing them as an enemy to defeat but rather being friends and competing in a friendly, respectful manner. Only for just that, not even counting his many other achievements, he should be praised, imo.

@@FigureSkatingFan It's always a "yes but no", imo. They are definitely not normal people because their life revolves around competition cycles. But in their short free time they try to pretend they are just normal people and having fun like the average in their age. 😂 Normal people don't try to jump 3A while enjoying their vacation. (Mostly they try to get drunk and having affairs. 😁)

Мне кажется Нейтан ввел в ФК ещё один новый тренд - это получение высшего образования) . До него фигуристы как-то особо не афишировали это. Он послужил примером для многих для поступления в университеты)).

Not sure will Nathan come back to competition again. He announced he will suspend his figure skating career for at least 2 years. There are some possibility he will switch off permanently. His dad has a Ph.D in pharmaceuticals and is a research scientist. His dad has a small biotech company (said in an article on the internet). Nathan is studying data science in Yale now. Data science is a very hot area in the U.S. while FS is not very hot in the U.S. So...

@@huiyinglu4514 I think he is right Sport is difficult and there is a big risk to get injured. He has won everything he could. Speaking frankly nobody still can beat him. Nathan just wants to live another life. And he is a very well-rounded person. He just wants to try something new and and different. He is setting a great example to improve and to get education. I love him very much and at the same time I appreciate his decision to continue his education) Anyway I will miss his programs and style. Sorry for such a long message))

Yes. There have been several younger skaters who have looked to Nathan and even talked to him about balancing an education and their skating careers. Yuma mentioned Nathan when talking about going to college this fall...and so did other skaters like Evgeni Semenenko
