@@JavaughnEllis Pedri didn't win anything, the team did. Pedri is not the very rare kind of player to win a match on its own when the team is playing badly. But the quality of his play clearly improved now if you analyse his stats. The fact that in this infernal schedule he is still injury free is a statement to Flick`s professional physical preparation staff. All our players have a better fitness condition compared to the last 2 years, they can actually run 90 minutes on the field, not just 60-70 like in the Xavi era. And that in spite of this insane 1 game every 3-4 days schedule that didn't exist in Xavi's time. Pedri visibly benefitted the most from this. Trophies will come, just a matter of time.

@@edy3569 Unlike our other midfielders pedri is the type of player who can pass the ball and control so well it could win you games, with Xavi games were definitely being played every 2 days maybe not just as much but we had so many games being played back to back. The physical fitness of the team isnt anything ive seen improve xavi had the team pressing pretty much the same way but because 3/4 of you wanted him gone you're ignoring the fact that nothing has changed just pure glazing and it will just be pure glazing to me until trophies of significance are won.

The fact that most supporters wanted him gone - there's a strong reason for it (humiliation in Europe + very boring, static, predictable game). But ultimately, none of that matters as we all want what's best for the team. This is the first time that most of us are excited seeing Barcelona play after Luis Enrique left.

@@francischinedu-d2y Gavi is very energetic and a pain in the opponents backside. But he is also psychologically unstable, makes a lot of hard unnecessary fouls, getting himself lots of cards. We need a player that is "smarter" while doing what Gavi is supposed to do. And that player is Casado.

Yes, he won 2 trophies but it was because he rely on individual brilliant players like Busquet,something that was done by previous coaches who rely on Messi brilliant to create chances or to score. Look at what happened after Busquet left, Xavi was struggling to find his replacement as holding midfielder and Barcelona was losing most games.

Why we framing Xavi as if he was Koeman. Xavi made a 85-league-points team. It lacked spectacular attacking last season due to pedri, gavi and de jong being out for lots of the season and the over reliance on Lamine. I definitely see a big improvement in many players under Flick but to say that there wasn’t a decent basis is pure lying.
