Ferreira was literally the only PFL guy who was able to beat one of the Bellator guys in the PFL vs Bellator event shortly after the buyout. And Francis beat him without even getting a scratch on him. The skill gap is freaking enormous.

@bonniefxweru5289 Francis... and easily too. Francis is a natural heavyweight, carries natural power and a solid 6'5, 280 on fight night. Pereira would not be able to withstand the firepower coming his way. The only one who can beat Francis is Aspinall... same size, quickness, grappling advantage.

@@petermadash4488 Completely agree with you. Both of them beat Jon Jones. And both of them have a strong claim to being 1a) and 1b) all time at least prime vs prime. I think that the Ngannou of the stipe rematch would be the favorite over all the heavyweights ever. I’m a bit worried about the effect of Joshua’s knockout psychologically on Francis + the knee injuries before that and of course the age but i would still think that he beats Jon.

Jones beat Cyril whom Francis had already beat. Jones wants to fight and he is fighting Stipe whom Jones regards as the heavy weight of all times. Francis has already mobbed the floor with Stipe. Jones could arguably be the overall best fighter of all times but he is Francis's little brother in Heavy Weight period! He is eating all the left overs that Francis left behind. He is yet to prove himself as a heavy weight.

In UFC he was scared to even engage with Derreck Lewis & lost. Struggled to a decision victory vs Gane in his last UFC fight. The competition level is worlds apart. Renan Ferreira isn't even Pavlovich level forget about Jon or Tom.

Francis quickly and uncharacteristically took the fight with Ferreira to the ground because he was not confident in having a standup fight with him. Ferreiras ground game is known to be pathetic. Francis would not have more than single percent take down accuracy on Tom aspinall. Tom would alternatively ragdoll francis. Tom is way quicker. Their standup fighting ability is probably comparable. Even if you think Francis' standup is better, he has a worse ground game. So its at best a wash. now where is your argument

Hopefully he can draw some talent away from the UFC's path. They have 8,000 fighters and they fill cards with 85% no names. They are unable to offer fights to their top fighters on a consistent basis. Plus, there is no room for young guy to skill-build outside the "top organization" anymore.Dana gobbles them all up in his contender series (tiktok version of TUF) We need the PFL do start doing well by supporting them. Competition is healthy and good for the fans.
