How Friendly Are Polish People In Restaurants?? (Unbelievable Hospitality)

Today my travels in Europe take me to a town in Poland called Ustroń which is a health resort town in Cieszyn Silesia, southern Poland with many restaurants, attractions, markets and shops for tourists and locals. It is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship, having previously been in Bielsko-Biała Voivodeship. It is also the home of the Jan Jarocki Museum. Next to this town flows the river Wisła (Vistula) which is the longest river in Poland and the ninth-longest river in Europe. In this video I visit various shops and markets in this town and view the surrounding area. A shop seller I was speaking to at a cannabis CBD shop gave me a recommendation for a restaurant to get good Polish food. I decided I would go for a traditional Polish soup and local beer with a shot of their very own brandy. Inside the wooden restaurant they have a brewery with their own local beer which I had the chance to try with a shot of their own homemade local Polish brandy that had a volume of 70% alcohol. From my experience traveling in Poland meeting people and interacting with locals in small villages and meeting people in the bigger towns I have been able to see how Polish people interact with and welcome a foreigner like me in their country.
Any recommendations for restaurants or traditional food just leave a comment!.

Am from Kenya, East Africa and I have a special liking for polish people. During the 2nd world war, a number of Polish people settled in East Africa when Germany invaded Poland. And interestingly, unlike other Europeans, the polish people got along with locals so well. Also, a notable point is, Polish soldiers helped Haitians fight for independence from the French. There is a general spirit of good in these people.

But definetly you can make some idea about nation if you listen to many many opinions, from different people. That doesn't mean, that your case gonna be the same, of course. Like everything else, nothing is perfect, and it's nothing special in todays times in this context.

And second thing is that they might not understand you exacly, because u said something like Wyrr--zos, and maybe they didn't recognize word that u were trying to say, when u have letter "R" connected with "Z" in polish language, in 99% cases you should read this phrase like letter "Ż", so the restaurant was called something like W(ż)os. Sorry for eventual mistakes in my comment, but my English is not as good and as fluent as I want.

André, thank you for visiting Poland. You have probably noticed by now that the so called "traditional" really depends on the region. So the traditional food, the traditional beer etc. will depend on the region. There are many many regions in Poland. And their traditions, manners, people and even language will vary. Good luck with your travel and research 😊

Try to talk to foreigners who live here for a longer period of time. I would argue that there is possibly more racism in the western Europe than here. For the last 20 years we pretty much learned to co-exist with others, finding a job shouldn't be that hard (especially if you know English). So, if you'll decide, I'm sure you will find a lot of people ready to welcome you here.

In Poland, these combinations as "sz", "cz", "rz" are equivalent to czech "š", "č", "ř". The name Wrzos is "Vřos" and meaning is the same as czech plant name "vřes" (heather bush). It is also used as name for biotop with not-very-fertile acidic soil where such bushes thrive as "vřes" nebo "vřesoviště".

A very random thing to observe, but I so appreciate how slow and well defined you say your words. My first language is English but I can totally appreciate how other people who speak other languages can appreciate your videos and get a real understanding of what’s going on. You’re brilliant!
