It was our ballet class, singing class and teachers together and it was magical! On the first play we had, I was only in the ballet class and we were the embodiement of the snowflakes. Later, once we decided to do it again, I was also in the singing part and we were this...storyteller? who was keeping company to Gerda and at the same time was invissible to her. I also danced the mirror fragments and that was really cool too! I enjoyed it so much and I am sad that now, because of Covid, nothing like this can be done again...

I remember reading this story when I was a child and falling in love with it. What I loved was the focus on friendship as opposed to romance, and the moral to be good and kind as opposed to the heroine being beautiful above all else. You told the story brilliantly and gave it so much life, and I thank you for it. Hated "Frozen" though. Terrible movie. It was as "original" as "The Lion King" was, wasn't it 😂?

i love "the snow queen", it's top one if i could rank stories (following closely would be wilde's "the fisherman and his soul"). this is a truer love story than the kissy ones, focusing on the connection between two people instead of simple "destiny" and then poof! happily ever after. what got me was kay's task to make the ice shards spell ETERNITY and with all his newfound cleverness, he couldn't figure it out. because the answer was something beyond himself. not too fond of "frozen" either but i did think it was entertaining. as for "the lion king", i've also seen clips of "bambi" and goodness, how disney has an expertise in making animals behave flirtatiously. it embarrassed me as a kid.

I heard a theory once....from Super Carilin Brothers, I think... They said Prince Hans may be the representation of the mirror in Frozen, as he always acts like the person he is talking to. Also, he reveals his true plan after he sees himself in the mirror. After he sees his reflection, he takes his gloves off.....and gloves are a very important symbol in Disney movies. Look it up!

Winter is actually my favorite season. I hope we have snow this year, I live in a hot area and it only snows like every 20 years. Winter is not good for online school though. It's easy to fall asleep when you have no courage to get out of the warm blankets and touch the freezing floor...

In Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, they have a scene like the Snow Queen where the witch meets one of the boys and tempts him, etc. Very interesting :) also another story, I think it's the sequel/prequel to Snow White (with Kristen Stewart) where there's an ice/snow Queen...just makes me wonder is all.

Coincidentally, my favourite season happens to be winter. I love describing it as both simple but breathtaking. Even the bright shade of plain white can invoke so much emotion and atmosphere. To me that can represent something along the lines of creation from nothingness, a concept I have adored for a while.

What's interesting is that I recall an old animated movie we had when I was a kid that told the tale of the Ice Queen, not every little detail was the same, but a lot of the big points were. Would like to find a way to watch it again

Interestingly enough, I was made aware of the true story of The Snow Queen from a game called Lobotomy Corporation. An abnormality in the game shares the same name and can 'kiss' your employees, the first one putting a shard of ice in their chest and the second freezing them in the containment chamber. You then have to send someone to go save them, and if you succeed roses bloom in the unit temporarily. It's super awesome to finally get to know the whole story from this video!

Hey, sorry it's been so long! Meant to update sooner but the rehearsal schedule messed up my sleep schedule, so . . . Anyways on to the updates! 1) I got cast as Gerda, which I now think is better because she has more stage time and interaction with other characters. 2) NEVER audition for this show! The writers didn't adapt it well, and the music/song writer evidently does not sing, as the notes for the singers are more like instrumentals. 3) We opened on Feb. 7th, and are closing tomorrow, and aside from missing most of the cast, everyone is glad it's almost over! Show has gotten great attendance/reception, despite it being Madri Gras weekend here in the south. Thanks for the well-wishes!

When I was young my father had a large collection of fairytales and folktales from my grandmother. There where 13, each meant for a child of the books number. I made my father read me the Snow Queen every Saturday night when I was over. It was my favorite for years, there was also one I absolutely loved about swans that I can never remember and one about 7 children. Watching these videos just fill me with nostalgia.
@viktoriabrun63454 жыл бұрын
Wait if the one with the swans is from Andersen then its called "The wild swans". it's about 11 sons who turn into swans and the 12th daughter has to turn them back into humans.

That feeling when the original story was my favourite fairy tale when I was little and I've seen like three movies. I highly recommend all three of them. Two are not that dark and more happy and the last one is pretty dark. And then there's that newer animated movie I've also seen but I don't really count it cause it was changed and has two continuations which are like ,,Whaaat the- How did you even come up with this?!" But yeah, it's funny that in our country (dunno about you guys) we all know most of the fairy tales in their original version. And we don't really realize it's that creepy. xD We're just used to stories in which evil sisters cut their toes off to get their foot in a slipper, wolf's whose stomachs are cut open and filled with rocks so they would fall in a well when they want water, mermaids whose every step is like walking on thousand knives, who eventually DON'T get a happy ending and turn into...I don't know how it's called in English, sorry xD That's what we normally grow up on, no wonder we're so weird xD
@egyptianwerewolf14662 жыл бұрын
Which country did you grow up in? Cause I grew up in Denmark with the same stories, and I’ve already decided that my future children are gonna grow up with them as well (no, they do not get a choice😊🙂)
