I’m 41, I own a business, we do ok. I smoke weed every day after work because it pushes all the thoughts I’ve been suppressing throughout the day, to the front of my thinking. It always gives me a brief panic attack, which I use to put things into perspective. On the weekends I typically wake and bake at about 8am, then drink some coffee and start my day. I do yard work, clean the house, play video games, all while my family is still asleep. It’s great.

"Addiction psychologist", Yeah like drinking won't mess up your prefrontal cortex either. Most people who develop such things from smoking marijuana will get it anyway, what a quack. The exact causes of schizophrenia are unknown. Research suggests a combination of physical, genetic, psychological and environmental factors can make a person more likely to develop the condition. Some people may be prone to schizophrenia, and a stressful or emotional life event might trigger a psychotic episode.

Reason for bad effect of marijuana is to smoke bad strains. Most of the strains are bad for people and create eventually mental problems because they are created by people who most don't know anything about full cannabinoid and terpines compilation effect..have they even ever made lab tests what they stains are made of..i highly doubt not many. For example local seed shops here has over 400 strains available and I would accept only 36 for my own use. Solution is to make every sold seed and cannabis product to be must lab tested.

As a medical weed patients for years... I quit weed entirely. Addiction is bad no matter what drug it is. If you smoke weed everyday then you are addicted, if you think not, then you are in denial. I support weed use to get off opioids and benzos, but weed will take over your life. Just slower and less life impacting. To be the person I want to be I had to quit weed. Not for a job/drug-test, not for somebody else, but for yourself.

unpopular opinion possibly, but a lot of people seem to always roll too big of a joint. I've been consuming for almost 6 years, with peaks in my tolerance, and I can say most of my joints contain less than half a gram of bud... medical 30% THC bud. On a physiological level, there is no need for more than that, even when considering body weight.

I’m in horrible pain 24/7, with cannabis I can take 1/3rd of the pain pills I normally would in a given day. Alcohol on the other hand makes the pain 10x worse within an hour of the last drink and has me flared up for a week. So I never drink unfortunately cannabis is fully illegal in my state still so things aren’t too good for me.

Other substances that have the opposite effect of weed such as meth and coke will not appeal to somebody that just wants to chill.
