This video is a re-upload, because KZbin again decided to age-restrict, demonetize, and suppress the last version. If you'd like to support what I do on this channel directly, please consider checking out this episode's companion video on Nebula that covers the India-China border combat more thoroughly here nebula.tv/videos/reallifelore-modern-conflicts-the-india-china-border-battles KZbin age-restricted, demonetized, and suppressed the last version because it contained a single 5-second clip at the end promoting Modern Conflicts that showed Indian and Chinese soldiers facing off at the border. KZbin then rejected my appeal, refused to allow me to edit/blur/clip the segment out, and forced me to eat a massive financial loss by suppressing the entire video in the algorithm and refusing to give me any alternative than deleting the old video and re-uploading this new one with that 5-second clip removed. Even promoting a small segment of the Modern Conflicts video on Nebula is what nuked the entire older video, and this re-upload has been forced to edit those segments out. KZbin's bureaucracy is incredibly difficult to deal with even for larger creators, and Nebula enables myself and hundreds of other creators to continue producing content we actually want to produce without a fear of outrageous things like this happening to us. It's really great to check out. Thank you

China's claim to new area in eastern Bhutan is a clear proof of who is on the wrong here. They are claiming land that never belonged to them. Arunachal Pradesh was always part of India and there are no cultural similarities with Tibet whatsoever. Even Jammu and Kashmir is/always was part of India as its former ruler was a Hindu Maharaja. So any claim by Pakistan or China to it is totally ridiculous. The 1962 Sino-Indian war is a very unique war in the sense that the aggressor while pushing its troops into its opponent territories was totally unprepared for war while the side being attacked had been well prepared to address such aggressive moves. The result was the aggressor being surprised by a well-prepared opponent and was utterly defeated. Rather than acknowledging the cause of the defeat and to disclose the truth to the public, the aggressor has chosen to hide the truth (refuse to publish the Henderson Brooks - Bhagat Report). The aggressor after the war till now has been playing the role of victim by citing excuses like “stabbed at the back (like the Nazi’s explanation of Germany’s defeat in WWI) by the side being attacked and that Nehru being betrayed. You can’t find more stupid leaders and people than those of the aggressor country.

There is no good claim to it, the people are Indians there and have been, and it’s a heavy populated area compared to other disputed areas. With jammu and Kashmir, I think every side should just take what they have because it’s relatively worthless, and all sides have pretty good ties to what they occupy, so there I say let it be. The British colonial government drew many versions of the Sino-Indian border. But none of them was accepted by the Chinese government. The Indian government should have negotiated with China instead of choosing a line that occupied the most disputed territory on the border drawn by the British, never giving in, and even implementing a forward policy that angered China and led to the Sino-Indian War in 1962.

As a Canadian, it’s nice having only 1 land border that we settled over a 100 years ago
@kevintessier37607 ай бұрын
We in Canada actually have 2 land borders since we settled the Whisky War with Denmark in 2022/2023. Basically we both claimed some tiny, uninhabited island in the north between Nunavut and Greenland, and made a game of the dispute starting in 1984 by taking turns planting our flags on the island and leaving some liquor for our "opponents". Then Russia invaded Ukraine and we prioritized settling the dispute by splitting the island between us as a symbolic gesture to demonstrate the peaceful resolution of a land dispute. So now that we border the EU it's time to join up (joking). We also have a land dispute with the USA over a small island with no permanent population, but there's a Canadian lighthouse we built there that's manned at all times on rotation, and we have a few maritime disputes with the USA mostly in regards to maritime borders with BC and Yukon.

Simla convention had been signed between the British India and Tibbet in 1914, China had no locus standi over any agreements which were being signed between Britsh India and the independent state of Tibbet, China had also occupied Kashmir lands in the year 1963,from Pakistan according to an agreement, since India had never recognised Pakistan's control over the parts of Kashmir, by doing this China voilated the Indian intergrity over Kashmir, if China could dare to provoke India by illegally occupying Kashmir lands from Pakistan than India would surely retaliate, and also India's claims over the macmohan line are quite valid as well, Also,China had voilated the panchsheel agreemnet between India and China, China had voilated the Tibbetan uprising of 1959 China had compeled India to launch a forward policy against them And now about Indo-Sino conflicts first of all Indo-Sino war was about China, Tibbet and India, Pakistan had nothing to do with it, -China voilated the panchsheel agreement with India -China voilated the Dalai lama's plea -China wedged the war against India and Tibbet -China voilated the Indo/Tibetan 1959 uprising India retaliated by defeating Chinese and annexing Sikkim during the 1967 conflict , And by giving abode to Dalai Lama and Tibbetan refugess, and by defeating China at Nathula conflict, neither Chinese invassion of India is possible nor the Indian invassion of China is possible coz of the barrier of the Himalayas, Himalayas are the reason why Mongols weren't able to conquer India after capturing whole of China, It would be more like the Indo-Sino conflicts of 1962 and the conflicts of 1967, Indo-Sino war would be only concentrated at the borders, thus it would be more like a large/small scale border war , China might would try to push itself into the Northest eastern India, but it wpuld be impossible for China to get through the densly populated silliguri corridor, China might wpuld attack from Doklang and might wpuld try to capture Silliguri from the Nepal-Bhutan junction, but again it would be impossilbe for China to pass through it coz of the presence of ellite commondos of the Indian forces in both Indian region of Sikkim and Bhutan, Ladhakh and Xijiang are way more difficult terrain for both China and India, here India might would make an offence against China by attacking Tibet and Xijiang but Chinese infrastructure here is way ahead of India, thus Indians would be pushed back by the Chinese, battle of Ladakh and Xijiang would get ended in a stalemate coz both Indians and Chinese would block each other and the difficult terrain of Ladhakh would play a crucial role, even if by any chance China here gets an edge over India, still India will try to make a blockade over the Indo-Pacific region thus blocking the trade route of the Chinese Naval Ships through the Indian islands of Andaman and Nicobar, thus this wpould lead to a shortage of the fuel amongst the Chinese arms, giving India an edge 2.) Now if Pakistan joins the game in Kashmir region, then China might would get an edge in Ladhkah against India, coz now the ultimate goal of India would be the complete annexation of Pakistan, since the Indo-Pakistani border is just the plain region, Pakistan wpuld have to face an all out invassion by the Indian forces, pushing Indians back wpuld be impossible for Pakistan, since the Islamabad's fall would be inavitable since Islamabad is hardly few miles away from the Indian claimed regions of Kashmir, now only nuclear arms would be able to save Pakistan in such scenerio(given if they are still active and are ready to use) but using nuclear weapons against India would be a gravest move for Pakistan since India would not only evaporate Pakistan out of the region by Indian nuckear and Hydrogen weapons but the drastic aftermaths would also have an effect on Afghanistan, Tajikistan Saudi Arabia and Iran and on India's Muslim population, thus Pakistan should remain out of the Indo-Sino conflicts, Escaling India and China disputes would naturally attravt the scavangers, such as the NATO, US, Russia, EU, OIC and some other foriegn organization, growth of the Indian hegemony over China is in the interest of the west for now, thus US and west would support India with the ammunation, and would make certain hostile moves againt China on the eastern Chinese fronts, Russia initially would act neutral and would balance it's ties betqeen India and China but if US, NATO would act against the Russian interests then, Russia would have to side with China and this would jeopardize it's ties with India, And also India and China wouldn't use Nuclear weapons against each other coz both have the no first use policy

@WongPeter-tx7qqАй бұрын
I found something in Google that don't match your opinion -"the Forward Policy (of Nehru) was designed with the ultimate goal of effectively forcing the Chinese from territory that the Indian govt claimed. The doctrine was based on a theory that China would not likely launch an all-out war if India began to occupy territory that China considered to be its own. India's thinking was partly based on the fact that China had many external problems in early 1962....Also, Chinese leaders had insisted they did not wish a war. Nehru began acting out of a policy of establishing new outposts further to the north of line of control. In June 1962, local Indian commanders had established Dhola Post, in Tawang. The issue was that Dhola Post was one mile north of the McMahon Line and was clearly regarded as being in Chinese territory, even by Indian standard." And also according to Google - the "Henderson Brooks - Bhagat Report opined that the 1962 war was triggered by India's forward policy". May be you can argue that Google favors China.
