You always do a great job editing on the channel. Especially on this episode. This was the first time I've seen the figures for the live action movies. I agree with you on the first version. The second movie figure. Has a Snake Eyes/B.A.T. version vibe to it. The skybound version of the two franchises. Has had a grown up approach to the storyline.

Much appreciated considering I make up the edit as I go lol. I'm still very partial to the IDW TF continuity; however I understand its borderline impenetrable to new readers. Skybound has definitely done a good job of getting back to basics and starting the combined "hasbro universe" on a strong foundation. I would be shocked if they didn't used elements from the Skybound series as a basis for the TF/Joe movie considering it sells extremely well and has already won a few awards.

I watched the first G.I JOE movie on an international flight to Holland back in the day . I loved it . ….I was also wasted and never rewatched it again .

That's a pretty good way to watch Rise of Cobra! Some movies aren't direct to video, or direct to bargain bin, they're direct to in flight entertainment lol!

I like the design of the 2nd movie overall.The whole point of the mirror mask and not having an origin is so that anyone can be Cobra Commander thus when you look at it you see yourself. Also in the 1st movie how do you mess up Snake Eyes? He's a ninja, why did they do that weird thing with his mask where the lips were casted?

As far as this video goes, unfortunetly, I mostly dissagree with your takes in this video. But as I wrote, "mostly", since with cases like this 11:28 14:32, I couldn't agree more. As for the my takes, I agree the second movie desighn is better than that of the first movie. I like the original movie more than it's sequeal. As for this suit 9:20, at least to me this helmet wise look's a bit better imo than either of the movie desighns. I can understand the problem of "making details for sake of details" but here, I think it works really well. All tho I can agree with removing the cobra from it. The helmet it self is a snake head, it doesn't need the "second microhead" case of Cyberverse Shockwave. That and if Hasbro had to give him Serpentor's Weaponised stuff, they at least could mold it in black.

As a movie I say Rise of Cobra is entraining, you can laugh with it, it has interesting moments. Retaliation is kinda dull in my opinion. I think the toy helmet would be a little less noticeable if the figure itself was a lot close to the final character design. I'm not a fan of a more armored/battle ready cobra commander, despite being the leader of Cobra he is fuddy duddy lol

The Marvel Comics used car salesman using Reagan era Capitalism to build an army is the best Cobra Commander concept. And he was at least a bit competent and all as opposed to the cartoon. And given modern politics n stuff? Sadly far too believable. I haven't read the Skybound books yet as im only reading the Transformers book and not entirely thrilled with it as its too grimdark for the most part.

Im spoiled by IDWs TF series, so i wont lie Skybound hasnt been my jam. However grim dark or not i have heard really good things about the energon universe, including the Joe comics! Im a TF fan first, but i love G.I. Joe, and i havent seen the joe fandom this excited in a long time! I'd give it a go if you have the chance
