Glasgow was awesome. They deserve that victory. As a Bulls supporter it is strange to see the Bulls lose a semi or final at home. Even the Crusaders with Dan Carter and Richie McCaw couldn't win a semi at Loftus. Glasgow was brilliant. The only thing that could have made a difference for the Bulls was Willie. Willie is the play maker and the destributor. But nobody can take anything away from Glasgow. Their forwards were brilliant especially in the second half. The URC is just an amazing competition. This season 46% out of the 151 games finished in a draw or within a losing bonus point margin. What more can we ask for. What a privilege to be part of it. I have to smile when people mention the traveling. South African teams travel much more than any European team or SANZAR team whether they play in the URC, Investec Campions Cup or Super Rugby. Welldone Glasgow🙌👏🙌👏

From a lifelong Bulls fan: Glasgow was the best team. Their defence was brilliant, the way they stuck with it was massively impressive. The Bulls' attack was very one-dimensional without Willie on the field, especially in the second half when the one-off runners weren't getting over the line. Could not believe we lost that match after being so dominant in the scrum. Very disappointed, but well-deserved victory for the Scots.

As an SA supporter, behind the Bulls as the way, I must respectfully congratulate the Warriors for an amazing victory! They thoroughly deserved it. Did they travel away for their quarters, semi's and final? Wow. Try beat that for overcoming the odds! They simply had too much in that 2nd half for us to handle. We certainly missed a few players, but we played the same full season as the Warriors had to endure, so if we became over dependent upon players who weren't able to contribute as required, that's nobody's shortfall other than ours. We missed Willie and Hanekom. Hanekom was there, but a fraction of the game changer he was the previous week. Glasgow Warriors have earned my respect and will now be one of my favourite sides. Well done lads!!!!!

Stormers fan here. Bulls had an amazing season, but Glasgow were superb in the final and well deserved winners. Would be nice if the DJ didn't turn Loftus into an irritating disco though? Completely negates the game and I thought the party atmosphere removed home crowd support (because they were too busy dancing to cheer on their team) and made a fiasco of the final. Remove the music and perhaps Loftus will become a supporters home ground again... until then its a night-club. That said, well done Glasgow, you were class.

I'm actually a Leinster/Ireland fan from County Kildare. My point is that Leinster and Ireland fans and media/pundits are always making excuses and looking for something or someone else to blame to excuse sub-standard performances in big matches after talking up the teams and rubbishing the opposition in lead-up. Altitude was the primary cause of blame for losing to the Bulls not the sh**e performance. I do concede though that it's not the players making excuses or trash-talking the opposition in the lead-up to big matches, it's the Irish/Dublin-based media/pundits and supporters. Main cases in point was the NZ WCup quarter-final and the England game at Twickenham in the 6 Nations. Also Champions Cup final v Toulouse. Disrespect shown by the Irish media and supporters in the lead-up to those games was nothing short of disgusting!!! Excuses and whinging afterwards was laughable.

The semi final showed a prelude of this when Le Roux went off 2nd half and how much the game changed after that. Le Roux not fit for the final had me very worried this was going to be the result. One thing though. I wish rugby would let go of the old amatuer excuses of altitude etc. The minimum required height in professional sport, for altitude to even have minimal impact on fitness is 2000m, loftus isnt even 1400m. And the north/south travel does not cause jetlag, never has, never will, thats not what jetlag is, nor does it hit you within 1st week. Travel fatigue is what it is, and you are fully back up to speed within 24hrs of landing, no fuss. Clinging onto this nonsense is, imho, part of Bulls short comings on international stage, its a crutch, and oft leads to complancy by the team, in expectations of how competitive opponents will be. Its not altitude, its about the climate, how dry it is compared to everywhere else in the world rugby is played.

In three years of URC, the Stormers made two finals and the Bulls made two. The Sharks also won the Challenge Cup. Not bad for teams that have half the budgets of the European teams. In the URC the average team have 20 international players and 401 international caps between them. Only the Sharks come close to the URC average. The Lions only have three international players with 60 caps in their whole squad. The Stomers have 12 internasionals with 194 capse between them and the Bulls have 15 internationals with 278 caps between them. Out of the 16 URC teams, three of the four teams with the least amount of international caps are South African teams. With 114 South Africans playing in top European and Japanese League One it makes a big difference to our local teams. Our teams also don't have players or coaches from other tear one nations playing or coaching for our teams except for Loader at the Stormers. Don't worry we were use to the sprint that was called Super Rugby, Europe is a marathon and jumping from 17 games a season to 29 games is something to get use to. South African teams are doing better than expected if you ask me.
