my bf of 2 years broke up with me as well a few weeks after yours. He told me he needed personal time but in reality he left me for another girl. I understand your pain more than you can ever know. the 1st few weeks were rough but I hand that small circle of church friends that have really helped me out. some of them being the wounded healers he talks about at the end. one day I hope to minister to someone else like they did for me. I pray for you and we will get through this. today marks a month after my break up. I lost my beautiful special needs only son October 1, 2021! He was a church loving, God loving, praiser. I know he is with Jesus but my heart is completely broken. 💔 Lord, please put me back together again. I miss him every second of every day! He was such a loving and joyful young man. I find myself wanting to go home to be with Jesus. Most times I feel life is not even worth living anymore. Edwin Lopez Philippians 4:6-9 is my favourite scripture on anxiety. I have it too. I grieved the suffering in the world in my youth due to loss of my own childhood and others, loss of a spouse after 2 years married, fear of his death, bringing up children, loss of family through cruel divorce, fear of losing my home and poverty. But in all of it God used this in introducing me to my Christian family when I was in hospital. The Chaplain invited me for prayer and it went from there. I'd been terrified of sinning by being in wrong church since my first marriage as he was an excommunicated cult member and very I was indoctrinated by him. But that scripture was my motto scripture I always quoted him when he suffered anxiety, yet I needed it in my life.

My Mother passed in 2010, I've struggled with everything since she's gone. Part of me died along with her. I still dont understand the severity of the wound I sustained on that day. I'm starting to realize that my life has been a chaotic chain of bad decisions and looming sadness. I cant have a relationship without constantly thinking that I will never be good enough. I'm damaged and it will reveal itself and cause me to feel that excruciating pain of loss as another person I care for not only leaves my life but does it willingly. Ive become so insecure within myself that ive convinced myself that I deserve the pain. That I failed my mother In some way and my life is a daily battle just to find a reason to press on. Please pray for me. I know God is working in me and his holy spirit is all around me. Idk why I felt compelled to share my experiences but He will reveal it to me in time. As a man who is suffering from a broken heart right at this second I have some advice to help you. Yes, you are going to need to pray. I believe in God 100% but it's not gonna be you PRAY and the next second it's gone. It's going to take time and effort to forget. Don't stalk them don't send them things don't try to breathe in their direction. Literally you have got to cry it out. You have to think of the worst thing you can that can bother you and keep thinking of it(this'll make the process quicker if you can Handel it) and for sure don't post that crap on Facebook. It doesn't make it any better. You will either work it out or You will move on. When I pray, I pray that he bless my ex and watch over her and bring somebody who he sees fit into my life. Love come and goes like a vapor in the wind.

Just what I needed to hear today . I have a funeral to go to today. My son in law's dad passed away this week . I know how that feels to lose a parent . It's so devastating . My dad died when I was only 10 yrs old. You move on in time , but you never forget . My husband and I have been praying for our son in law and his family . Such an excellent message. Grief is an evidence of Love and we are all different in how long this process will take. Grief is essential to our health, a tool that God gives us to get through the transitions of life. I am not a fan of pain in my life but have seen God's comfort and love through it all. Rick ended the message with, "We live in a broken world. Everyday we either need comfort or we need to comfort others. Or...maybe God wants you to do both at the same time. God calls this a wounded healer." In my life, I have found that when you pour into others, you are not so self absorbed and the pain tends to lessen. God is our strength and hope!!

Honestly thought this Christian girl I met was the one for me. It was one of those relationships where one love the other more. Her words never matched her actions. Please pray for me. I'm going through intense breakup grief. I was with me ex for 12 years. He v was my baby, my world. He left me because he couldn't take the ",pressures" of being in a relationship anymore. He was tired of dealing with my so called "flaws.". He said he never proposed to me because he was never one hundred percent confident that he wanted to marry me. And now he says he doesn't want to be with me again right now. He wants to take care of himself and get back right with God. He says he loves me but is not in love with me to take the next step. I'm so overcome with many different emotions: fear, anger,sadness, depression, guilt, relief,... You name it. I still have dreams about us and every little thing reminds me of him. I want to get over him but I'm having much trouble doing so. It just pains me that after all we've been through, he doesn't want me. He says that he is not ready to be in a relationship again and he is going through stuff. I said that he is forcing me to move on. I asked him if he is willing to let me go and find someone else and he said yes because if we were back together, it wouldn't be genuine. I appreciate his honesty but it hurts so bad. God, when will the pain end?

But you know our pastor said to his sermon today that you cant run faster if you have a heavy things with you, let go of those things and you can run faster and finish the line. Maybe he was my weight that pulls me down. It really hurts right now but I know God has a greater plans for me and I will use this pain of mine to be an inspiration to others. I want this pain to be a testimony someday. And I hope also yours. You can get over it, I know its not easy but set your goals and take a small step and it can lead to a bigger change. Godbless you!

So hard to digest, I feel for you..let me tell you there was things that happened to me I litteraly started to believe God chose to destroy me mentally. I really believed that. Now again after some tough event for the first time I decided to have Faith in Him and stuff that happens to me make sense in His eyes... I gave 4 years of my life to a man who told mine & his entire family he is going to marry me. I've never lied, never cheated, never flirted & do my best not to stress him. I always say let me help, always split all the load in half, always help him as best as I can. He asked me twice to marry him & I said yes but after he gets what he want in life because I want him to keep focus. He left me three weeks ago after travelling to another country promising me he is coming back to me & won't hurt me. When this happens I repeat 1 Corinthians 2:16. It says we have the mind of Christ! I mean I say it as many times as I need to until my mind is calm. Also life and death is in the power of the tongue, Proverbs 18:21. Dont speak anxiety over yourself, thats a word curse you just spoke over yourself. Say I brake this word curse in JESUS name, I declare and decree I have the mind of JESUS CHRIST. The Bible says be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication make your request known to God. What is it that you have these feelings about? Start there and maybe if you go back and rectify that situation, that will take care of it. I used to get instead of (anxious) im going to use uneasy around my dad when I was growing up until adult hood because he would be mad one minute and yell at you for nothing then, come in the next minute and be like hey Faith you want to go run. I was very confused and uneasy but one day, I sat my dad down and said hey dad, when I was growing up you made me very uncomfortable because you had what seemed like an uncontrolable attitude. I was scared of you growing up. He said Im sorry, I was stressed out, we were low on money and I was working to death and I just took my anger out on everybody, I apologize. Now I dont get that feeling around him anymore. You may just have some past issues you need to address or something you need to forgive someone for... Cant hurt to investigate...

I hated the part that asked to accept the things I can't change, so I took it down. Then my kids bought it for me after a painful divorce. If I'm honest, I still feel the same. Just lately, I attended a course 'Goliath Must Fall' (also on KZbin) and I have realised what I really needed to hear - that the battle belongs to Christ, not me! Louis Griglio points out that we think we're like David slaying Goliath with the power of God in that sling, but we are not David - Jesus is! He took all our sin, all our brokenness, all our grief and felt it, on the cross in human form. He is our victory, the change in our life comes from him. I pray for your healing. Your pain is not your identity, just like my divorce is not my identity. You are a beautiful treasure owned by Christ. We all are, no matter what our sin, grief or difficulty.

To be honest, this sermon changed my life and perceptions. I was at a point on my life where I felt all hope was lost and I had nothing left. I can relate to the senior pastor's loss of his son. Mental illness is a real issue, and I found myself where his son was. Prayer and trust in the Lord beats all the problems we face in this world and the challenges presented to us.
