My hellcannon experience has been exactly the same. I’ve put like 100 hours lovingly converting and painting up a nurgle hellcannon and all it does is give my opponent 200ish free victory points 😂

Shayne was a fantastic opponent and was very patient with my (usually) undead playing ass. His green knight killed precisely 1 quarreler, who then failed their LD off the terror debuff and got run down. He was misinformed by the TO on what scoring was going to take primacy and decided to go for a greedy play to try for a better differential and it back fired. Felt really bad for him on day 2 when the scoring was corrected. Brett is a great player, and while his list doesn't look tooled up on paper, he got 3rd at CTC in May with a very similar build. Val played very well in our match and deserved to win off of being the better general, while I was playing pretty sloppy. Unfortunately we made some rules mistakes in our big combat res brick-off that ended things pretty abruptly; the flanking wyvern was deemed unable to accept a challenge from the standard fighting rank, and waaagh combat res got counted for both waaaghing characters. That being said it was round 4 of the day and we were both drained, everyone's still learning, and Val still deserved the win. Was a great game and helped me learn the matchup for my game 6 into more fantatics and elemantalism :). Also there was some salt with magic bouncing and armour saves, up until I rolled double 9s for the LD 8 break test lol. Game 1 started at 9, but ya it was a very long day.

Oh it is! Every other vortex that sticks around? Random movement. Pillar? You can aim it so it is a damn sniperrifle with a footprint several models wide. As a Woodelf player the huge AP is a non-issue. But at T3 on everything thats not a dragon, it just wrecks me. And the list that won the Squarebased online tournament? WE army with 4-5 Pillars of Fire. Perfectly balanced...

As an empire and orc player who does have 3+ armour units the ap was the most obnoxious part to me. Maybe pillar doesn't need to be nerfed if that rumour about not being able to know the same spell twice happens.

Make it moving only in the own command phase and not each. And make vortexes "each vortex can't be more than 1 in game per side at once" to prevent boring 4-5 PoF Lists.

Game started well, but now that its been out long enough for people to work out the broken/OP/janky rules its pretty trash now. Also, theres already a long list of well know rules issues in the game that have been known about since release but GW has sat on their hands, no surprise there! GW is dog s#$t!
