How GOOD is Agent Smith?

His neutral is very meh and super reliant on his nspecial, but his advantage is very good when optimized. Hard to say right now, but I think he’s currently a high skill floor high tier.

I rotate among several characters. For Jason, I use his teleport perk, the projectile shield on the ground, 5% speed buff, and pugilist. Jason is an interesting character because he is very slow but does a ton of damage and can get early eliminations with the neutral grab into stab attack off stage. Getting sleeping bag kills is also really funny.

I really think this is one of the most balanced characters that have came out I think they could maybe nerf his speed a little and the knockback on his side special but other than that he’s felt really balanced to fight and play against Edit: and his jab 1 up tilt dair gun loop infinite needs to be dropped but just so it’s not and infinite

Currently right now for me it's a little hard to get used to this character. Is combos don't click like I feel like they should. A lot of them just don't work cuz I would do some of his job strings into his up tilt but then people just mash Dodge to get away from it then I get with punished and lose. Most of it doesn't feel entirely true. I have to make a good amount of reads ahead of time which is not a problem it's just something that I have to adjust with as Smith. Making good reads and just reading your opponent is is how you make them look good as you do right now. Still too early his overall strength in the game but i gotta to say overall he is still fun to play

I think he’s good but I wish that up special was either faster or had less end lag. It feels way too gimmicky to use more than once here or there to surprise an opponent. Also while it appears he has good combo game, it seems very inconsistent. Like it’s hard to tell when players can just dodge out of down air or gun. Also jab into up tilt sometimes doesn’t work which is kinda stupid.

Not at all. His moveset is super cool and fun, but I think he's mid at best and likely worse than that. His advantage state is really scary and he explodes people when he hits them, but his approach game is ass. His only good approach options are dodge-in or gun attacks, both of which are committal and burn resources. If the opponent plays passive and doesn't run directly into Smith's hitboxes, he can't start much of anything. Most other melee fighters have either a safe landing hitbox to poke with or a tool to force approaches, but Smith just has to run in and find hard call-outs constantly.

While I do enjoy the game (and I did take a break) Idk man. I wouldn't say 'toxic positivity'. The discord does show disappointment constantly + there's videos talking about the flaws of the game. The player count decreasing is a natural occurrence for Fighting Games (tho it doesn't help the only PvE mode is literally that MK11 mode with extra steps), so it is smth to be expected about it.
