@@WorldWide_Dom I have a transatlantic flight booked for November, based on price alone, I opted for play over a direct Dublin to JFK with us pre clearance because it was slightly less than half price, when in comparison with Aerlingus and the American based carriers

We were driving near Hamilton International Airport (Ontario, Canada) and a Play flight crossed over the highway in front of us, coming in for a landing. We’d never heard of them so it’s a funny coincidence that you’re now reviewing them.

Seemed a pretty decent flight. If they flew from Gatwick I'd be more tempted to give them a whirl (they chose Stansted for their London airport, which is a nightmare to get to for me).

We’ve flown Play transatlantic 4 times (NY to Paris and NY to Dublin). Great experience. Only once was the legroom a bit tight for my husband. But great experience for the price.

Enjoyed the video Dom, it depends on the aircraft some of the A320'a have a different seating configuartion I wonder if this is down to the privious operator as I belive their aircraft were not delivered as brand new airframes to Play. Also another condieratation was food & drink options. Intersting fact they have interling with Jet2

Thanks Lee, I believe that play had the A320’s refurbished when they received them. I’m not sure about the a321’s though. Didn’t know about the Jet2 agreement, that’s is quite an odd pairing.

I didn't know much about PLAY prior to your trip report but they look very efficient and have a good onboard product. Excellent value for the price you paid. It's a shame they shelved the GLA-KEF route.

Yes it's a good sound product. Shame that Play currently does not fly the Liverpool route. Its website shows service restarting on October 11 but flight frequency is sparse. Cannot currently check beyond October so let's hope Liverpool will be served in the following months.

Here is hoping! I flew the Glasgow route my first time with PLAY and that route has since been axed. I know they are planning to start operations from Cardiff so only time will tell.

@WorldWide_Dom october/november they due to start. Most days flight arrives into Cardiff around 0840-0940. With return from Cardiff 0940-1040. The airport really been promoting it.fares from Cardiff over to Newyork you can save a few hundred £ compared to flying from Heathrow especially cist of fuel and parking too
