I settled on a 2021 bets 250RR and absolutely love it. The fact that i can whip past a cop fully street legal on my brand spanking new 2 smoker !! Is just an incredible feeling. Really hauls the mail off road as well. Love the vids

I am really impressed with the way you can tune these bikes now. Potential for some crazy builds in the future from some shops who want to create "special" builds (complete package type builds with engine and handling mods). Really opens up a can of worms! 😎👍

Was there enough bottom end torque? Heard these Yamaha 250's are known for that. Also, did that little speedo gauge have a neutral light?

If only we could get the 250X can't understand why they won't import them what with the interest in enduro now 🤷♂️

nice bike, great review max! i wonder about the maintenance requirements with those bikes, i grew up on a honda xr, so i have attitude there. cheers and merry mxmas lad!

Thanks Tim, I guess maintenance must be similar to the MX bike, I'll try and find out. They are well built though for sure.

@@999lazer my 2016 wr250f's manual tells me to do the oil and oil filter every 25 hours and it's about the right time because because I change it the oil is in the middle of good and baddish.

@@liamwilson1948 how often do you have to adjust valves on these wr250f’s? I have always heard they are easy to maintain compared to a full blown race bike
@liamwilson19482 жыл бұрын
@@hurt1704 oh every so often. I do mine every rebuild or 100 hours and sometimes they don't need adjusted. But you could get away with a lot longer than that. Definitely don't require as much work and maintenance than the yz-f and yz-fx counterparts

@@liamwilson1948 thanks for the information. I was always told the Honda 250x requires a lot more maintenance than the wr250f

This or a wr450 if I wanted to make it street legal. I love my blue bikes
@danielc52052 жыл бұрын
As a owner of a WR 450, I don't think they'd make for a good street bike. You'd be better off with a CRF 450L if you want a true dual purpose bike. And, if you're not a aggressive off-road rider, the DR 400 and DR 650 would also be a good dual purpose bike.
@AILEXzGB2 жыл бұрын
@@danielc5205 Thanks mate
@fynn82522 жыл бұрын
@@danielc5205 I have the 19 CRF450X which shares the same transmission, engine and frame as the 450L. The 6 speed is nice and since I do dual-sport sometimes, it's a great perk. However, I do not consider it a great street bike as the rpm's seem a little high cruising at 65mph (105km/h). It will do 55mph (90km/h) very comfortably. Adding a tooth to the front and dropping a tooth in the rear could help with road performance. Tires also play a big role in smoothness. In Australia the WR450F comes street-legal, fully uncorked and has 14,47 gearing (stock = 13,50). This should aid in higher speed road cruising quite a bit. But Daniel, you probably know more than me since I have never ridden a WR.

I’m not trying to be disrespectful, but what is the point on doing a review on a bike when you can hardly ride it. Better to leave it to people who can ride, so us guys that can ride, will get some benefit from the review 😳
