so Maltby 's philosophy in their iron designs is lower CG placement and higher MOI (longer blade length + tungsten) than most others in their class. So while the lofts are slightly stronger, they are made to launch a little higher and land a little softer so distance isn't crazy different between the TS4's and weaker more traditional clubs. Another point is that Maltby designs ALL of their clubs which is unusual in the DTC space. Most others use foundry open catalogue models that they just put their names on byt never had any involved in the design process. Maltby has been making clubs for over 40 years and Ralph Maltby was a head engineer for many major brands in the 70's and 80's. As for the feel, these specific clubs demand full throttle and compression always. They feel great if you really compress and take a divot, but for sweepers, these feel more harsh. I played them for about a year and actually thought they felt as good as any other blades ive played. All that said, these are great but the TS3's are really an all around club that you should look into. I olay them now and absolutely love them! Cheers!

Thanks for the post and all the information. 👍 and nice to see that you really enjoy the clubs. Regarding the TS3s I’ll keep a look out for them to give them a go. As they sound more in the category of irons that I normally play.

Maltby clubs are great! I'm a 6 and the cheap game improvement irons are perfect.

Very nice. May need to get my hands on a pair of them to try myself then. What model are they?
