OASIS is back! From the breakup the brothers are back! The Oasis reunion is here. But how good was Oasis actually? Let’s dive into the band and see. Oasis are known for their albums Definitely maybe, what's the story morning glory, be here now and more. Oasis are known for their songs wonderwall, don’t look back in anger, stop crying your heart out and more, champagne supernova, live forever and more. Oasis are Liam and Noel Gallagher.
Never Normal is where I talk about Emo, Punk, Pop Punk, Ska, Metal, Rock music and everything under the Alternative music genre. I talk about bands like Rites of Spring, American Football, Blink 182, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Paramore to Modern Baseball, Title Fight, Touche Amore, Joyce Manor, Hot Mulligan and festivals like When We Were Young and Riot Fest.

Agreed with your sentiment. I’ll be watching more of your channel in the future! I know I already threw a couple of recommendations out there but if you liked Rocket to the Moon way back then the lead singer Nick Santino has a band called Beach Weather that have been coming out with some great songs recently.

Oasis's Wonderwall was everywhere in 90's and over-played, got a bit fed up of it, they had different and better and bigger hits in the UK. They made a mistake saying we will be bigger than The Beatles, they didn't manage as much international success as The Beatles or as many No1 hits, they were the biggest Brit Pop band Blur also did some good songs too. They are in my opinion over-rated, two good albums many say, 8 UK No1's, they show off behaviour also put people off.

What you’ve not mentioned here much is the B-Sides. I was a kid/teen through the early part of Oasis’ history and I collected every one of their singles on CD, since they were practically EPs with three B-sides each that were frequently better than most of the songs on their albums. Tracks like The Masterplan, Round Are Way, Step Out, Half The World Away, and Stay Young were all non-album tracks and are all worth checking out. They did release a compilation of b-sides called The Masterplan, which served the purpose of making the songs a bit more well-known, but it’s a significant part of their catalogue that arguably most of their best songs never actually appeared on their studio albums

I don’t think anyone can appreciate just how massive Oasis were from 94-98 in the UK unless you were there- even a lounge parody of ‘Wonderwall’ got to number two in the charts and even a CD of them arguing was a minor hit (Wibbling Rivalry).

Wonderwall was over-played on the radio in the 90's and that kind of put me off, they had much better songs, and bigger hits (Wonderwall as a No2 hit). Brit-Pop was started by Suede, Oasis had most commercial success, Compared to others the Sex Pistols were more angry, The Beatles much more varied and creative, I don't think they were much like The Beatles, The Beatles styles are varied, more creative and different sounds, Paul's voice is also better than Liam's. This is exactly what happened here. Did some lyric searches, scanned through a few articles on their albums etc. I bet he didn't let a song play a minute before fast forwarding to the next... Oasis' best work was their b-sides. Noel, Gem and Terry's 2006 acoustic tour was 2/3 b-sides, and the 1-2K intimate crowds all sang along with gusto. Felt amazing to be amongst my people. No other band could do that. Oasis are the most overrated and underrated band in history. overrated when it comes to some of their most popular WTS(MG) era hits; underrated when it comes to everything else.

Oasis was great when they were first making music, that they could pull out a few good songs from using the same chords over and over was perfect. Then they got into their pretensions phase, Champagne Supernova was good. But then they got into the endless fighting over nonsense. They literally released a fight, and claimed it was a song. That was dumb. Honestly, if they could be forced to stay clean, and just make music, they'd be set.
