How GOOD Was PRIME Luis Suarez?!

Suarez is my 2nd favorite striker of all time behind Brazilian Ronaldo. Easily the best striker of his generation. He is an old school striker in terms of his role but his game is amazing. The range of goals he can score is just freakish. As a Barca fan I was so happy when we signed him. He always takes a few games to figure things out but once that 1st goal hits it's like the faucet opens and the goals pour in. His movement, his fighting spirit, technique and unselfishishness is brilliant. I'm so glad he won everything at club level in his 1st season at Barca.. It's a shame how he was treated at the end.. He's succeeded everywhere he's gone. Even at this age you can see his quality

I came here to say this. Best after R9 to me. I can't see anybody as complete as him. Not only a great finisher, but he can get past anybody. Score from deep, and his football IQ is extremely high.

I agree. He's the most complete forward I've ever seen. If he had a bit more pace it would be unquestionable. He had that ability as a playmaker which players like R9, van Basten, etc lacked.

I agree, if I ask a prime (2016) Suarez to play a r9 type role he would have no problem trying to fulfill the role. I love that I can trust in him to be either a goal scorer, being able to be a true 9 and pass it, or do both.

The thing is R9 was good for 1997,1998,2002 and 2003 his career basically ended in 2006 but Suarez was good for 2007,2009,2013,2014,2015,2016,2017,2018 and 2019
