he played in a legendary Benfica team with Di Maria, Ramires, David Luiz, Coentrao, Aimar, Saviola, Cardozo. David Luiz was his best friend at the time. he wanted to start his coaching career at Benfica but the president didn't believe enough in him :( Benfica is also the team that fired Mourinho when he was young. so our track record is horrible

Was Rui Costa the director at the time? If yes then he must be wise because throwing Amorim into the lions' den at Benfica would've horrific

Oh, dude Amorim played in Al Wakrah here in Qatar 🇶🇦. As a Man Utd fan No idea he played here. Amorim football career was cut short because of injuries. I think Amorim is too small to manage a big club like Manchester United

As a portuguese and benfica fan i can say that, if not for his injuries, he would still be competing at a very high level late into his 30's. Above everything else he was a very smart player with consistent skill added on top. He hadn't insane skill, but at his prime he had very high skill and the best thing was that you could put him into like 4 or 5 different midfield/wing postions and he would always deliver the same consistent high-quality performance (except full-back😁)
