I think we can take into consideration the law of "squares and cubes": if Rhulk is 3 times bigger than the goalies, it means, according to this "law", that the volume of his muscles is 3^3 times bigger than that of the human. I am not a biologist, I study mechanical engineering but if the power of a kick is directly proportional to the volume of the muscles, his kick hits 27 times harder or about 4*10^5N, which is bigger but still far from the bus
@yourewrong90285 күн бұрын
This is a good point, but generally only the cross section of muscles determines how strong they are, not their length. So Rhulk should rather kick 3^2 or 9 times harder. However, if we're assuming that his muscles are the same strength proportional to his own volume (E.G. that his muscle material is much stronger than that of a human per unit area) then 27 would be a fair estimate. (I also don't have a biology degree, I have one in physics, but i'm like 99% sure that this is closer to how muscles work.)

Next episode should be “How cold is stasis?” You have to learn about liquid nitrogen You have to learn how metal freeze and break differently Maybe learn about natural defenses against cold explain how we can survive the freeze attacks
@lmlagg10 күн бұрын
Stasis is about control. Using it, you control particles and reduce their entropy. (since it was given by the Witness and in the fight against it you get lines hearing about its hate of “entropy”, we can draw some parallels) The reduction in entropy would inherently reduce temperatures. This is because you're reducing the system’s disorder by reducing the kinetic energy of every particle (this is temperature). This would make stasis and its crystallization at or slightly above 0 Kelvin. The reduction in temperature forces everything it touches to solidify (since helium is the most picky about solidifying, and this needs to be at 1k to happen as soon as possible, we will go with between 0 and 1k.). Technically, this could preserve any living thing without killing it since everything inside their body is “frozen” completely.

I would go about this a few ways, firstly given Rhulk’s biological nature the square cube law would be applicable. This means that while rhulk may be what looked like 20 or more feet (hunched in the image provided) his muscle mass and subsequent discharge would be proportional to square of what would be expected for a human ie (three humans)^2 which is monumentally more than what was presented in the video. Secondly again due to the square cube law this also means his mass would increase proportional to (three humans)^3 which is again a gigantic difference, using frame data you could calculate how fast the end of his foot is moving to get an energy output taking both of these into consideration. The other way I can think of is by using the lore where rhulk not only withstood several tens of thousand of meters of liquid helium pressure on a planet of equivalent mass and composition to Jupiter (atmosphere and ocean), but also managed to do so while single-handedly besting one of the most naturally powerful creatures in the franchise whose rib is on display as a trophy as well as intimidate creatures that were stuck surviving in the core of a gas giant. there you could find his muscular and skeletal resistance to pressure (taking more liberties in doing so) and calculate how much force his body could withstand and subsequently discharge. This would put the withstood pressure at a lowball estimate of around 200 billion newtons which is so incomprehensibly massive that rhulk would be on par if not orders of magnitude greater than the estimate of the drop pod force. In short, lore accurate rhulk😅. Either way he is exponentially stronger than what was displayed in the video. That was just my two cents on the matter. Post script: it is possible to survive a meatball strike, and it was only just possible to survive contest rhulk’s kicks so you could say that rhulk’s kicks are within a very close range to meatball attacks.

16:35 yippe something actually applies to me! (MechE undergrad) There's probably a couple ways for going about this: - The mass of a guardian seems to be insignificant to Rhulk as the kick doesn't seem to be slowed at all upon contact. We could take something that's proportionally similar in mass to a human (like maybe a tennis ball or something else really light) and estimate Rhulk's mass from that. The square-cube law should be taken into consideration. We can estimate the speed of the kick from gameplay footage, and combine that with our estimate of Rhulk's mass to get some number. - Since Rhulk is skinny, his muscles/bones have to be proportionally MUCH stronger than that of a human because of the square-cube law saying he has to have to have proportionally more muscle since he's so much taller. With all that in mind, we could see how much energy a human exerts doing a similar kick and then scale from there. The square-cube law also probably applies here - If physiology is too wack to be sure of anything, we can compare a kick to a cabal drop pod. We can get the speed of the pod based on how many frames it takes for it to travel a certain distance (like that one spot in the EDZ, stand far back with a sniper and see how many frames it takes for the pod to go from just into view to when it lands). We assume that speed is the pod's terminal velocity (and the pod is a sphere), then find its mass and energy from there. After that, we compare how strong the pod is relative to the kick by stacking enough resistances to survive both and compare the damage taken (if surviving both is possible, I'm not totally sure about that). The resulting value would be enhanced by Rhulk's resonance powers, unlike the other methods

A few factors here you missed to do with lore (I'm a lore nerd not lore God so take it with a grain of salt). 1. A titans armor is so heavy that when a normal person tried to wear it it instantly crushed their entire body. 2. The levaithan was comparable to fundemant which was a planet so incomprehensively big that it pulled in other planets into its atmosphere meaning that would also mean that rhulk had to shrink the leviathan,s ribs so they could be displayed let alone fit in his ship and he ripped the rib from the leviathan casually. 3. As you said at the end of the video he ain't actually kicking us full strength since he's transmiting resonace into us for the kill so that immediately ruins the thought experiment. 4. The light and darkness gives a raw amp to physical stats since wei ning (not sure on spelling) was able to lift a mountain casually and he isn't the strongest titan to live by a wide margin so that would also be a pain. Thank you for reading my Ted text.

Warlock main but I love Wei Ning's lore. Couple correction first Wei Ning is a female, second she punched a mountain and MOVED it lol. Third during the great hunt while working with Eris she made a wish to an Ahamkara that their fight would last forever, basically so she could beat the crap out of it forever, Eris had her branded as a psychopath lol. On another Ahamkara hunt she was working with Ikora, when Ikora accidentally started to make a wish and Wei Ning punched her and decapitated her (only time I believe Ikora was killed by another guardian). And finally she crafted the Fighting Lion GL.

You know this makes me think, how hard does a guardian punch? I’m sure if we fist bumped a regular person their arm would shatter.
@SALEENS7GTR59 күн бұрын
Titan armor crushed a regular human when it was worn, simply off weight. We've seen Zavala essentially hold off a barage of missile attacks with his bubble, that only slightly moves him back. Guardians hold glasses and bowls of ramen and Zavala has held his wife and child caringly before. So they have a range of gentle for a baby to carrying tools that are immensely heavy, like the tools the Cabal use, probably several thousand pounds in weight. A Guardian punch therefore can probably easily break a hole in a brick wall or dent a metal bank vault door. Im sure there are more concrete lore examples, but needless to say, their punch is like artillery.

Another banger Toad's Moothie video. One note, I think you may have shorted rhulk there in your admittedly shaky comparison to a strong human. Rhulk is around 3x the height of the 6ft guardian estimate you gave, but due to the square cube law, he would have significantly more than 3x the mass behind his kick. Gven that he's not actually slowed down at all by that extra mass, I think it's safe to assume that his force would scale up by a power of 3, rather than a factor of 3. I can't say for sure how this would affect the final calculation, but I definitely think there's some ground lost in there.
@sovereign13294 сағат бұрын
So 2 things. 1. You can survive a drop pod with the right set up 2. You can survive Rhulk with the same set up Both leave you with roughly the same health but the movement of the gaurdian after the impact differs. With the drop pod you dont move at all With Rhulk you quite literally get slapped to the map boder (it happened to me and it was hilarious) The fact that surviving the kick makes you fly off means that it is actually a kick its just most likely strengthened by the Resonance power. If you are able to recreate the map border fly while a person has Darci watches you would be able to get the distance they traveled and how long it took them which would give a more accurate result.

Some minor issues, myth busters actually did an experiment where an object with a dimpled surface is affected by air resistance less so than a standard smooth and flat surface. The cabal drop pods have dimples and divets and lines cut out of them. They're not a perfectly smooth outer shell, so they can likely fall a lot faster than what you've calculated. Also, Rhulks sun was blue, and evidently a solid as the lore states he cracked it open with Lubraes Ruin; so we can assume it was a rather large neutron star that his planet was orbiting. Blue stars are usually a bit larger than your average sun, and neutron stars are incredibly dense plasma cores surrounded by a thick metallic crust. We can draw a few inferences from this information; the gravity of his planet must have been greater than Earth's by a steep margin if his Sun was many times larger and denser than earth's. Also his long and tall frame suggests it was a great deal hotter as well via an evolutionary standpoint as there would be less surface area overall to allow heat to escape more quickly. His planet of origin would also denote that his body likely has less skeleton-to-muscle ratio as a standard bipedal (us) would as well. In theory Rhulk is incredibly strong, so strong that he slaughtered all other of his kind that are at least similar to him, and then cracked open a neutron star. Not sure if that can or will help with the calculations at all, but it is something to think about.

You could get an estimate for the Kinetic Energy in the kick by looking directly at the animation - find how much distance the leg travels in the amount of time the animation takes to solve for velocity, then with an estimate for the mass of the leg (could be 27 times the mass of a human leg if we assume the same density as a human and 3 times the height of a human), we could find the Kinetic Energy in that kick. To find the force, you could do the same Work calculation that you did previously in the video, taking the distance traveled to be 2 meters.

Just a recommendation there is one model in the game that you can make appear whenever you want and who’s size always stays the same and that’s the ghost (default model). so if you could find something in the game that has a known measurement and then have someone pull out a ghost next to that thing (while someone else is looking at them because you can’t rely on the person’s viewpoint who’s holding the ghost) but once you know the ghost’s measurements, you can just measure thing things in ghosts, and therefore know the length of whatever you want from that point on

Bungie proved with their statement that Rhulk was the strongest (before Witness) we have ever fought. That is what they said in their Phanteon Twab. Rhulk is therefore the 2 strongest and Nezy just the third strongest. But that fact doesn't make Nezy any stronger. Rhulk could have lived on if that Guardian named Marco hadn't blown up his remains with a nuclear explosion. Nezy in his prime got clapped by Savathun without the Light. And if you want to say that Nezy had the light: yes he had it but he couldn't use it because he hadn't learned how to do it. This unknown disciple you mention is long dead.

I think there's one thing that was missed here with the F•D assumption that distance is the distance over which the force is applied rhulks total kick distance is 2m but that's not the distance where his foot is making contact with the guardian. This will also change with the elasticity of the collision rhulks foot and the guardian has. I think what you might need is the impulse equation that you briefly elaborated on. Take a slow mo of rhulks kick on a still guardian capture a few frames after rhulks foot stops making contact with the guardian and use those to estimate a velocity of the guardian from being kicked. Estimate the time rhulks foot makes contact with the guardian with a similar method then you have collision time and the final momentum of the guardian right after the kick which is the velocity that is really the final velocity of the collision. F=Mv/t where M is the estimated mass of a guardian will get you that force output. Which you can then convert to energy once you find the distance of which rhulks foot makes contact with the guardian

You may also consider that Rhulk's kick is delivered at a certain part of the body, meaning that if all that force, and well, Rhulk's inertia, is applied to the head or neck for example, then that would be kinda devastating. Now we could also consider that Rhulk's kick acts as a whip mechanism, where the force is delivered at the shin or tip of the leg. This should deliver much more power to it because again, we're narrowing the area of momentum transfer, which is exactly why well delivered blows such as MMA fighters or boxers pack quite the punch. We could also argue that Rhulk's density is way much higher. Supposed we were to assume that his bones are equivalent to the density of tungsten, or Osmium even. Given that we'd probably get a number much more higher than that. If we consider all of our bones make up for ~ 14% of our weight, and the density of both metals is roughly 20 times more from that of the density of the bone, then we could assume that Rhulk has quite the kick. This is a little bit of a strech but it is a possibility regardless. Also also, Cabal's pods MUST be slowed down whenever they're about to land cos' that amount of energy is about 6.907 megatons. We're saying that 2 cabal pods would be similar to dropping a 15 megaton Castle Bravo nuclear warhead, inferring that, we'd not only wipe, but that every single cabal pod would shred a total location. EDZ would be cooked after a single pod or so. And, even if we had all these prior assumptions to increase Rhulk's kick, yeah, comparing that to a flippin meteorite of a pod is very unfair 😂

Thing I noticed, the kick, Savage Strike, has Solar Burn tied to it which is the damage profile of Resonance. So yeah, more than likely it's the Resonance killing you.
