this video is motivating af. i definitely fell into the 'keep putting it off for 1 more upgrade' camp and made heaps of baseless assumptions about how sweaty the mechanics are, but after starting to learn waves it really just comes down to staying calm, and practising enough that you can solve the wave before the mistakes pile too high. Treat your hp as a resource to spend that can be replenished most waves.

Getting my first deathless solo cox and getting a 425 invocation ToA were harder grinds than Inferno for me, probably could've done it earlier. It's really fun to learn and definitely achievable. Worth bearing in mind that I had 150 solo cox raids where I died and 100 TOA expert runs where I wiped too so I was prepared to have a lot of patience for inferno. Learning content properly e.g. mage running & 4:1 at olm, butterfly, insanity, red-x, wave-skip, level 4 zebak takes a bit longer but the payoff is massive in the long-term. I also found the visual metronome plugin to be extremely helpful for flicking

To do the inferno you really just have to keep doing the inferno and watch other people solve hard waves like wave 63. I completed the inferno twice in 2019 I got to the point where I could basically make it to zuk everytime, then I quit playing osrs for a few years, when I came back I wanted to complete the inferno again, I basically had to relearn it, too me about 15-20 tries to do it again after coming back, thats about 20 hours. The hard part is solving hard waves, because once I got to the jad I got it first try after coming back.

Getting more and more used to the thought of maybe attempting to set out to the Inferno learner grind. This video helped humble it a little bit. I managed to pull a Tbow (iron btw) on 34kc and at around 140kc i taught myself solos and 4:1 and got it down extremely fast (setting it up, and recovering if shit hits fan or unlucky). Law of diminishing returns.. the most difficult cape in the game gives only +4 str bonus over the fire cape. The most expensive armour in the game, torva, gives only +2 more str per piece over faceguard and bcp+tassys. You will be dumping hundreds of hours and over a billion gp into getting the infernal cape and torva only to get a 3.8% total dps increase at an ideal boss like TOA's Ba-Ba @ raid level 300. That miniscule increase in dps results in only ~14 seconds saved on a Ba-Ba kill. It's so much more worth your time to just go do the content you want to do then get the upgrades as they come. Don't stress yourself out over unnecessary upgrades, or the opinions of randoms online who haven't touched grass in years.

Well, rigour is a huge buff but for first cape attempts you won’t use any offensive prayers until boss waves. That being said if you want to maximize your chances against zuk it obviously helps. I’d break it down like this, if you know how to do cox/have friends to do group raids with then yes, it’s a (relatively) short grind. If you have never done cox before and have nobody to do it with, try some infernos first and see how it is. If you feel like you’re lacking power then reconsider

@@JiyoolRS I partially agree, but I don't think that gear that is required to do other things efficiently should be locked behind content that not everyone can or wants to do. There should be multiple paths to acquiring every type of gear in my opinion. I'm not saying they can't be equally challenging in other ways, but they should at least consider that not everyone is Woox, and that there are a surprising amount of players like myself who are nowhere near talented enough to do even simpler stuff like Jad let alone Vorkath and Raids bosses.

Its that type of attitude that ruins games. Just because you cant complete certain content doesn't mean you should get another easy way to obtain a item. Also you dont have to be even half as good as woox to a get a infernal cape. If they give every lazy trashcan infernal capes and other items that actually require SKILL AND TIME then they would be worthless. Its a game. That doesnt mean your entitled to all the best shit just cuz you play it

@@Lord_of_eels It’s a game. It’s supposed to be fun. Skill has nothing to do with having fun. Seems to me like you don’t understand that not every player plays games to be a sweaty tryhard nerd lmfao.

@@Infinicat Yeah, its a game. Nowhere stating you need to have access to the best in slot gear without actually doing the content. If this is your stance on Inferno then cheese cape will serve you just fine. It's not even that big of an upgrade over it.

“Infernos not that hard, you don’t need max gear” every single clip is in max gear. Practice what you preach.

Nah my guy I have clips in there with blessed dhide, blowpipe, and dhcb for zuk. In fact 16/18 of my attempts were done with that setup and in my pb I died to a misclick past healers so by that point I think it’s safe to say I learned enough to get an infernal. I used the tbow clips mostly because they’re higher quality and more recent, but my old setup is definitely in there :)

Got mine after like 30 attempts, 5 zuk attempts with justi. Practice zuk on a rsps so you don’t waste the leading few hours getting there
