This was genuinely funny and entertaining. Well done. I too am at the hair-out-pulling stage of Inferno, I've attempted far more times than I want to admit, only reaching Zuk one time during which I died to Jad on a missed prayer switch. Wave 63 is the bane of my existence and in my opinion is the only true hard part of the Inferno. I want the cape so bad I can taste it, but unfortunately it's left my mouth with severe burns.

My set up was: Equipped - Justiciar Helm, Occult Necklace, Ancestral Top, Armadyl Chainskirt, Guardian Boots, Barrows Gloves, Ring of Suffering (I), Ava's Assembler, Dragon Arrows, Crystal Shield, Kodai Wand. In inventory - Toxic Blowpipe(1k dragon darts), Necklace of Anguish, Armadyl Chestplate, Twisted Bow, Rune Pouch with 3k each of Blood, Death, and Soul runes, Falador Shield 4, Stamina Pot(4), 7 Saradomin Brew, 2 Bastion Pot(4), 12 Super Restore(4). Augury and Rigour unlocked.

This sounds so much like my story. I started inferno attempts a year ago, made it to zuk and got burnt out after I died. 6 months later I did 2 more attempts and got to zuk both times but died and then had IRL stuff come up. Here we are 6 months later, a total of 1 year after my first attempt wanting to do inferno again. It haunts my nightmares.. having an item I never got to obtain. I watch inferno streams, I’ve seen every guide and I really want this cape.

Devout boots & ring of the gods are your friend, even if you flick thru the entire inferno, you will still end up needing that prayer bonus. I camped some protection prayers for at least 10 waves

I might be missing something with crystal, if so could someone help out? It seems like you need a lot of crystal shards to be able to use crystal. Doesn’t it degrade pretty quickly then you have to go collect a whole bunch of crystal ? I guess via gauntlet probably best way to get crystals?

I've had pretty much the same exact experience with inferno burn out, but I'm back trying to max and once I get my hands on a bofa and the crystal armor I'm hoping I'll be able to finally get the cape as well

I finally got it after 2 months easily 100+ attempts, of those 6 zuk's and 4 3jad's. had to get a tbow loan at the end to help push me through but the cape is mine!! devout + rotg was very useful I did not have to even lazy flick my protection prayers when i was facing things 1 v 1. I did however learn 1 tick alt as a universal solve for the entire fight. I still struggle with mage + range pillar stacks and ended up towards the end just flinching them to get more zuk attempts. I was very unfortunately not aware I had my pk skull protection off doing scorpia on my iron and he lost his devout boots though :( I know he won't do inferno for a very long time bc I need things like bowfa on that account but the dread of doing endless medium clues from a mistake is bleh. good news is its probably well over a year of actively prepping for gear - need/want ROTG but do have suffering already, need bowfa or tbow spoon, no cox prayers despite 100kc, occult, a good staff (maybe warped staff good enough) ) - so by the time i do all that i might be willing to just do it without devout's and go grind it if i really struggle for prayer later anyone during this insane mental grind - keep pushing! It's been a week and I still just sit there admiring my cape lol. My advice is to not worry about what wave ur on in terms of dying. Every single run is a different layout of monsters and you're gaining experience facing different variants of solves. It's a journey. Even though I'm very happy with my cape and I had some very upsetting moments, the overall grind and journey of doing it myself was some of the most fun and rewarding content I've ever done in runescape
