Thanks for a great review. With the battery recall a used Bolt is definately the used EV deal of the century. Those saying that they wouldn't buy a Bolt because of the recall should check with Kia, Hyundai & VW as they are going through a similiar recall.

I’m looking at a used….. hadn’t heard of the recall. Are they replacing the entire battery????
@EverydayEV3 жыл бұрын
The recall has been going on for most of 2021 and will continue in 2022 as GM Replaces battery packs in 2017-2022 vehicles. Not every vehicle will need the entire battery replaced, some will just need certain cells replaced. I’d absolutely make sure you’re communicating with the dealer or seller of the used Bolt and make sure that the recall has been completed. To this point, most Bolts have had software restrictions placed on them limiting charging to around 80%. Hope that helps! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we’ve been navigating the recall for months - Brandan

I'm getting ready to purchase a 2019 Chevy Bolt with only 8000 miles on it. It has a brand new replacement battery, Show room condition $4000 under blue book. It will be my 1st EV adventure. Letting go of my 3500 diesel Duramax as my new work commute is only 12 miles each way. I'm not really worried about the battery issue if it Burns it Burns as long as I'm not in it, That's what insurance is for.

I disagree with your saying it's slow in charging DC, It's really good. But I am old and need more bathroom breaks. I have a 2020 Bolt EV LT, not fancy but gets the job done. Oh I also have over 20K miles on it. Every other weekend I have to drive about 280 miles round trip. Which starts with a basic over night charge (currently to 90%) Then once at the location 140 miles there, I do the pickup and charge on a DC fast charger back to around 85%, highest I have gotten is around 44Kwh, which takes it about 35 to 40 minutes. It is actually good for me as I get to eat lunch and do my business. Overall great, kinda have had to change the wipers more then I would like, and have needed to do at least one Wheel alignment already. I rotate tires at 5K always. I am not doing a buy back. But hopefully if the current government comes through with the EV incentives, I just might in Jan swap it out to the EUV. Waiting on the Battery swap or what ever they decide. I feel it's far safer then any ICE out there.

They're the best car and I mean best car I have ever owned I won't BMW I own Mercedes I've owned five Mini coopers all brand new each car and this was the best car I ever owned can you believe it. And about your stains come on you shouldn't even comment about that you should put a seat cover on it when you carry your dog everybody knows that that should not have been in the video. But anyway I find nothing wrong with my Chevy bolt I got my new batteries and both cars they're better they're fast and they're perfect to have over 85,000 mi on my car and guess what no oil changes either. What more do you want. And they're cheap and I mean cheap with the new tax rebates oh my goodness they're cheaper than a gas car. So buy a Chevy bolt

We have a 2020 Premiere. It has been mechanically perfect. We have had no problems at all. None. Charging is a non-issue since we do all charging at home. We have two other cars that are used for road trips. The only complaint is a rattle in the dash plastic. The car definitely uses cheap materials, but that is expected is a car that only cost us $25k after rebates, incentives and tax credits. This was our "starter EV". We didn't want to spend a lot as we did not know if an EV would work for us. It turns out that we love it so much that we will probably keep it forever. Still waiting for our battery replacement, though I have no concerns at all about driving it as is.
