We're breaking new ground by bringing our audience into the conversation, featuring personal stories that reveal the profound impact a new baby can have on a couple's life. From the dissolution of partnerships to the strengthening of bonds, our guests share their raw and diverse experiences. We navigate through the euphoria and the turmoil, presenting an honest look at how children can both test and transform the relationships of their parents. We’ll explore the multifaceted challenges that can arise in post-baby marriages, including the strains of postpartum depression, diverging parenting styles, infidelity, and more. We'll unravel the importance of maintaining connection, the hurdles in seeking quality time, and the resilience required to co-parent effectively through separation. I absolutely applause that you take us along your "evolution" and verbalize it on a meta-level. Like in the 2nd episode when you said how you realized you would have wanted to react differently to what your guest said. Or now, where you say in the future you realized 1 guest is better than 3. BUT you still put that "imperfect" episode out and did not discard it as a burnt pancake. Instead you really stand for a healthy error culture and normalize it as a necessary stepping stone towards growth. Thanks!!! PS: sorry if my english is not correct, I am from Germany. 🙂

This was so intriguing to listen to, thank you Lucie! Personally I find this kind of episode much more interesting than those with people in the public realm - I loved hearing perspectives of 'normal' people in such an intimate way, which is so different than the content and the type of people we usually see on social media. So I'm looking forward to the next one and hoping perhaps you consider doing them more frequently than just once a month. I also loved your reflections in between on how you experienced the conversations and what were your intentions as a host.

I only had time to listen to "Chet", and I loved it. My parents met very young, 16, and they both cheated on each other, before and after having kids. My brother and I took the opposit direction on that matter. We are both in a stable and faithful relationship. It means a lot to me to be able to trust my husband, no matter what. I cried at the end when Chet took some time to answer that he had not been able to forgive himself. I wish him to be able to do it, and to go beyond. I love the way you guide the conversation, that's awsome!!!

Thank you for being such an amazing host!! You got me teary-eyed throughout the whole episode, and I was able to connect emotionally with all of the guests because you were so warm and human with them! I love this and I'm eager for what's coming next week ❤

Another really good episode! There was only one question I had wished you'd asked Chet. Perhaps, he would have given a very typical answer, but I was kind of shocked by their going into another pregnancy after he had revealed the affair. I was also surprised that throught his interview, I found myself truly empathising and very sad that in the end they weren't able to make things work, but glad they are in a good place now, as a family.

yes - as he said in the interview, it was a "surprise" pregnancy but they had made the decision that they weren't going to give that child up. I think it was probably tough going into another pregnancy during all of this!

@@luciebfink Oh, thank you. I must have missed the 'surprise' part and was just really curious as to why you'd have another kid during such a difficult time.

While I recognize the need to trim so that this wouldn’t be a 3 hour podcast, and you had these conversations set up to be one podcast, I would truly love to hear your full conversation with each of these people. Even released a “podcast 1.1,1.2,1.3” I would listen :)
