What do you think of the landing? I think I'm going to make it a couple of feet taller so that it's more of a step up. Maybe even throw some mulch on it. That should help build some more confidence to start going bigger.
@Bruppeditz

I think that it being more of a step up would help a lot

@@Bruppeditz yeah I think so too. This is definitely not the jump I set out to build lol. But I'm not complaining. I wanted something that would help me get over my fear of going higher. And this one shoots you up.

@@cutlaps I’ve never hit a jump that big and I have always thought step ups are less scary because you don’t have to fall as much. I think they are some of the best confidence building jumps

@@Bruppeditz yeah I'm only going small on it but already the hang time is like nothing I have felt on a bike. Very weird but fun feeling.

The landing is good as is! The crisp top of the landing looks so good, but rounded might make it safer to come up short with the nose. (I might be traumatized from broken an OTB broken nose experience from being just short fully commuted.) I agree that step ups are easier and technically you can send them deep and land where a long flat table would be. When you get the extra dirt you could slightly lower beyond the landing in all directions making the landing slightly longer in the process (in a way that drains).

I've been watchimg this channel grow for years now and I just wanted to take a moment to ssay 2 things. The first is that the quality of your videos has improved so much with the new music and for example the design of the kicker. You didn't need to do it but you did and that really shows how much you value the quality of these videos. Secondly, you've inspired me to build my own bike trails and I just recently bought some land in Kangaroo Valley, just west of Woollongong to build my trails on. Thank you so much for choosing to do this, you make my day so much better whenever I watch your videos.

Yeah this build is super solid! And it will be great for progression, if there was a bigger landing someone with more skills on a bike could go absolutely massive on this thing. Thanks for watching legend

So glad to see another video Luke! Great build and riding. Really creative breakdown and ideas for building. That chicken bridge is cool how it stores and sets up so quick! Favorite moments at 5:22 😂 and at 8:41

Yeah I was pretty stoked with the built in chicken bridge. I think thats become my signature now haha. What about aggie in the passanger seat of the buggy? I thought that would be a crowd favourite but so far noone has mentioned it.

@@cutlaps thanks for reminding me. At 6:00 was a good part! I was dealing with fussy kids and commented much later then watching. (Normally I spend more time commenting on your content) The “that ain’t off road … this is off road” reminded me of an Aussie nod to the Crocodile Dundee line “that’s not a knife… that’s a knife!” Aggie is living it up, chauffeur driver and all! I also thought about asking about Aggie’s new friend.

To be clear I think the remix is great!!! I had a graphic design professor that made everyone watch "Everything is a Remix" and it opened my eyes that many of the acclaimed movies, songs, and art re-use and remix all kinds of things from previous work and influences. Since then I have started to notice really great ideas that are extensions and remixes of previous ideas. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kF6rppikebWNrZIsi=wuwAQxCB-ilaoG-n

I don't think a planning document would really work for this one because it was all rough bits of wood. Maybe I will build another and make a how to using store bought wood.

@cutlaps
@cutlaps Жыл бұрын
Hows the riding in Ireland? I'll try to upload more over summer. I have a friend coming to help speed up the process but some of these builds take so long. For example milling the log only took about 1 minute of video but really I was out there for 4 days doing it. I had a few issues that ended up being a bit boring to include in the video.
