Very nice, I appreciate this. Me an my bro are newbies and this is very helpful. Were still struggling at 70 max hp etc. I've just learned cooked food helps, so knowing the nights get worse and how they progressively get insane helps. We barely survived day 21, night 28 or so taught us a lesson, and I just learned how a smithy works a bit. Were definitely struggling but surviving and learning.

Definitely a little late but I can confirm the demo zombies on day 14 horde night. Couple buddies and me were raiding a shameway foods factory in the wasteland and got distracted by the time we were done it was 21:20 and we were 2km from base with bicycles. Most of up picked up our stuff and just respawned at the hose base but it appears the calculation is only done once in the biome where you are when 22:00 kicks off. Yeah the horde base made of cobblestone didn’t stand a chance. 3 demos made very short work of it. But this was very educational. Thanks!

Dew collectors now also generate heat, despite being 100% passive. Also, there is a chance to get random screamer spawns directly before or after a Blood Moon.
@kraevgames Жыл бұрын
Great video, Tem! It's worth mentioning that while powered lights don't generate heat, the power itself does. Also, in previous alphas, 100% heat only had a chance* to spawn screamers. I think it was like 75%. Is that still the case, or is it a guarantee now?
@gbwillson Жыл бұрын
Great information that's clearly and simply presented! Thank you!
@JustinMShaw Жыл бұрын
In a much earlier version of 7d2d I remember the player itself being one of the strongest heat sources. Basically wherever you spent the most time would be where screamers would appear. I haven't kept track of whether that's still a thing since once I figured it out I started spending as little time as possible at my base.

7:51 The Blood Moon Count setting is per player, so if it's set at 8, and there's 2 players, and maxAlive is 66, then only 16 (8*2) zombies will spawn. But if there's 9 players, and maxAlive is 66, then only 66 zombies will spawn, rather than 72 (8*9).

I found that the music on Horde night will play the attack music for as long as horde night is active, even if there is a pause between waves. I keep the music low but still loud enough so that I can hear it when I am not shooting or fighting. When you hear only crickets with no more fight music then it's safe to head outside your base and move around. There will still be the ambiance musical notes and the choral song now and again but the actual music stops. Hope that helps.

This is fantastic! I'm a newb. How is loot bag duration calculated? Will loot bags de-spawn during the horde? What about loot bags that occur overnight, during wandering hordes or during a quest. As big fans of your Channel, thanks for diving deep into the stats of the game. It's very informative and we appreciate you taking the time and putting in the effort. I have a couple of questions that hopefully you can answer for us. Has the 'Hit Box' been changed with the Zombies in Alpha 21? It seems they have a longer reach to be able to hit you now. Also, unlike some of the mods like Darkness Falls where the name of the Zombie and their Hit Points are listed, has there been a change in the Zombies Hit Points in this new Alpha? Again, it seems they are harder to kill now or have weapons been debuffed so they are not as effective in killing the Zombies? Looking forward to hearing back from you with your thoughts.

For grins, I started a Navazgane map to see the changes and did this after creating a custom map. No beginning quests "Bedroll etc." And no beginning points, no water or chili to start with. It gave me a level 5 shovel, a few building materials including stone blocks, and no marker to a trader. Since you streamers get early access to these alphas, I thought it might be helpful if you guys would test this. If not, my game is bugged and I'm going to have to do the hard reinstall again.

Such helpful information! I had a question though that I don’t seem to see anybody having experimented with and was curious if perhaps you had: in a multiplayer setting, on horde night, how “close” do players need to be in order for them to be considered “in close proximity”? Building on that, if two players (one level 150 and another level 50) are in separate locations (outside whatever the close proximity distance is) does the horde split between the two and would the level 50 see the GS50 horde?
