I worked at a small,family owned slaughterhouse for 15 years. We made lunch meats and hotdogs. To have a hotdog right out of the smoke house was awesome. I had a hotdog in my hand all the time. My boss told me he was going to weigh me in and out at the end of the day.😂😂 Those were the days.👍👍

Harvest Meats from Yorkton, Saskatchewan makes the best hot dogs ever. 18 minutes in a 75C toaster oven. Plumps right up without popping. I actually like them with just mustard and raw onion. No bun.

The Hot Grill way since 1967 in Clifton, NJ they are the best. Cooked in oil and topped with Mustard and Onions and then some chili made their way, The best. I have been eating them since about 1968 and i am 74 today.

WRONG, the original American Dog was made of suit and beef and/or pork heart. That's it, it wasn't until many years later when they started using left over meat of any kind. My great great great grand father used to make them for fast factory lunches, in NY state. They were heart meat and suit, 50/50, with spices. I have no idea where you get your info from, but it is bunk info.

Not all hot dogs are created equal. Grab a package of pricey ones, and, through the plastic, try smushing one between your thumb and forefinger. It doesn't easily smush. Then do the same with one of the cheap brands. It smushes with hardly any force.

This such a sanitised sweet, padded load of crap.....meat of all types that is not sold as specific cuts is ground into MRM . This includes all sorts of animal parts that don't normally appear in the butchers shop. Nothing wrong with this as we should respect any animal we kill for food by eating every part. Sausages have history in every culture of meat eaters. It uses all the leftover bits including intestine casings. Hot dogs sit at the lower end of gourmet eating. I do like the occasional hot dog but it doesn't deserve to to be romanticised and revered like this guy or AI robot is trying to do.
