So we’re all just eating seeds, vinegar, and mystery additives? Suddenly, mustard doesn’t feel so harmless anymore!

90 percent of the sap served in places is high fructose corn syrup with flavoring additives. Im canadian and we brewed real maple syrup. the us used to import alot of canadian syrup but they didnt want to pay the prices since a cheap corn based alternative was found. no problem, we started importing it to europe and they didnt balk at the prices for a good quality syrup - no problem. so next time your waitress brings you a tiny bottle of maple syrup- its not, it likely came from a cornfield in iowa, enjoy.

I like brown whole seed mustard for everything except hotdogs and corn dogs, those get French’s yellow mustard!

Wow! So you can really tolerate the spiciness of the brown mustard!!

You missed a step about adding color dyes to cheddar & other cheeses.
@FactoryView17 сағат бұрын
Actually most of cheese is not dyed. Maybe it is for some cheddar cheese, you are right. But for other cheese this not applicable.

I didn't know what good mustard was until I tried dijon mustard. There is no better mustard in my opinion. It is much more expensive, but totally worth it. Also dijon mustard can differ in taste from different manufacturers. I won't name the company, but one I bought was not good at all. It was bitter and not from France.
